Simple Daikon Salad\Einfacher Daikon-Salat

Hello,my friends!
Today we'll cook a delicious and simple daikon salad. It couldn't be simpler. The only ingredients are daikon and a dressing made with vegetable oil and vinegar. But the salad, while quite simple, is also quite delicious if you like the flavor of daikon. Daikon is like a white, elongated radish, but not as fiery. Daikon is sold in our stores; I wouldn't say it's a huge hit, but it's available. Let's go, it's going to be interesting!

Ingredients:
● Daikon - 2 pcs (500 g)
● Salt - a pinch
● Sugar - 2 tbsp
● Rice vinegar - 2 tbsp
● Soy sauce - 5 tbsp
● Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
● Sesame oil - 3 tbsp.
● Green onions, herbs, hot pepper - to taste

1.Peel the white skin off the daikon. Using a slicer, cut the daikon into thin wedges. A knife can also be used, but a slicer is easier. Place the daikon wedges in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt, sugar, and rice vinegar. Stir the contents of the bowl and let sit for 10 minutes. Then add the sesame seeds, sesame oil, and hot pepper soy sauce. Stir the mixture, cover the bowl, and let the daikon sit on the counter for 3-4 hours. Then stir again and refrigerate the bowl with the daikon salad. Let the daikon salad sit in the refrigerator overnight. The daikon should be well marinated and become soft and juicy. Remove the bowl from the refrigerator a couple of times and stir the contents with a spoon. You can also add some green onions, cut into 2-3 cm strips.

2.The marinated daikon salad is ready to eat. Serve it garnished with sesame seeds and herbs. I chose cilantro. The rich flavor of cilantro is perfect for a variety of dishes. It turned out well, with a subtle radish flavor, and the vinegar-oil dressing complements it perfectly. A dressing based on vegetable oil and vinegar is the best option for vegetable salads; it will bring out and enhance the flavor of anything.
