Beer Saturday ; Bell's Two Hearted Ale

For this weekend's #beersaturday post, I returned to an old friend. Kalamazoo's Bell's Brewery has been around for ages. Long before the craft beer world blew up, this beer was considered a top 50 beer in the world. And why not? It's delicious, stronger (at 7% ABV), and perfect for a cool night around the bonfire.

This most certainly isn't a West Coast style IPA, or even a New England hazy. This IPA delivers on malt and balance; not overly hoppy, yet enough of a hop kick to make you want to drink all six cans in one setting. I'm not saying I'm going to do that, because that would imply I might drink too much...but...one never knows.

With my solid Two Hearted in tow, we decided to do take-out tonight from a local Thai restaurant. I went with the Bibimbap...highly recommended and delicious. The IPA was the perfect compliment to combat the heat.

With my takeout complete, I got my Solostove bonfire lit and decided to spend the night outside beneath the full moon and the stars. Even Jupiter is shining bright this night in the eastern sky. One of these days, I'm going to finally pull the string and buy a Stellina telescope for the backyard. Who knows, if I drink all six Two Hearted's tonight, I might very well purchase one tonight!
