A few days trip in Peschiera del Garda, Verona Italy 🇮🇹

Hello everyone! Today I'm taking you to another tourist destination in Verona, a place called Peschiera del Garda. It's a fascinating city with a charming and lovely atmosphere, located on the shores of Lake Garda in Italy. Its most striking feature is its ancient fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The city is surrounded by canals and boasts a long history dating back to Roman and Venetian times, blending architecture from various eras. It's perfect for those who enjoy relaxing, appreciating old town atmospheres, and sampling local food.

The most prominent feature, as mentioned, is the ancient city walls, which appear strong and well-preserved. The city, situated on an island and surrounded by canals connected to the Mincio River, creates an atmosphere reminiscent of a miniature Venice.

We went there to relax. After arriving at the train station, we carried our luggage and walked in. The walk wasn't too far from the station, and we got a different perspective, seeing the canals stretching into the distance with many boats lined up.

Along the path, there were padlocks with names engraved on them, a symbol of eternal love – quite charming.

We walked further inside, and the atmosphere was quiet because it was raining that day.

This place is called Parco Catullo, a public park with historic military buildings.

Before checking into our accommodation, we went to a cafe nearby. We chose a room near the lake for our first night.

The price wasn't too expensive because it wasn't summer, so there weren't many tourists, but there were still some. While waiting for our turn, it started raining, so we opted for coffee and matcha lattes.

Then we checked into our room. Check-in was self-service; the owner left the key in a locker, and we retrieved it using a code they provided.

The room was clean and beautiful with a great view. After unpacking, we waited for the sun to set and then took a walk around the area. The atmosphere was like this in some parts of the room.

The sun set early this time of year, and the view from our balcony was stunning.

The lights from the restaurants illuminated the water at sunset created a beautiful ambiance. We enjoyed the view before meeting up with our friends.

In the evening, we went out for drinks with our friends. We met not far from our accommodation, ordered a drink each, and chatted while waiting for dinner.

Then we moved to a different bar. At the bar inside, we had a few drinks, just one each, before dinner.

For dinner that night, our friend booked a restaurant near the area but not in the center. It was a bit further drive. We each ordered something different; my friend ordered pizza, and I had seafood spaghetti, which was delicious.

The next day, nearby, we walked to the other side. Today, I'll show you the inside. There are actually many entrances here; I can't remember all of them. Every entrance leads to a stunning central area. You have to cross a bridge across the canal to get inside.

On each side, there are houses, shops, and restaurants open to tourists to enjoy the atmosphere. During this winter season, many boats are docked along the banks.

We've actually been here many times, but we've never stayed in an area with such beautiful canal views before. This is my story and photos. Thank you for following along. Have a great day!
