Afternoon of Coffee and Soccer

These past few days have been pretty quiet, since I’ve finished my studies for now, and that’s why I don’t need big plans every afternoon to make them wonderful—just being able to brew a cup of coffee, let the aroma fill the kitchen, have a cookie to go with the first sip, and listen to the World Cup soccer games in the background is enough to make the afternoon a success.
Every cup of coffee I drink throughout the day has something special about it and offers a moment of pause that’s worth savoring—since the morning coffee gives you energy and the afternoon coffee wakes you up, but each one also reminds us that the best moments are often the simplest ones. I poured myself a single cup of coffee before the game started and savored it as the minutes ticked by and the excitement of the game built.

Every World Cup game has been a great experience that means a lot to me as a soccer fan, since sitting in front of the screen, with the World Cup taking center stage, every pass, every play, and every goal is experienced with a special intensity. That’s why this coffee is perfect, and even though it didn’t last long—since the cup I used was small—it gave me the energy to watch the whole game, while my parents also poured themselves a cup of black coffee to watch the World Cup and not miss out on this great global event.
It was a quiet afternoon at home, and it made us realize that happiness isn’t always found in big events, but in the sum of small details—and even more so when you can prepare it yourself. That cup of coffee, the butter cookies, a World Cup match, and the privilege of being with the people you love most—and even more so knowing that a cup of coffee is one-of-a-kind.

This helps us realize that, in the end, life is made up of moments like these: an ordinary afternoon that turns out to be extraordinary, a black coffee that gives us motivation, and a game that reminds us that passion can also be shared in silence. And as the last sip cools in the cup, we’re left with the certainty that the most precious memories come from the simplest things.

I agree to you that black coffee gives us motivation and reminds us that life simple moments sometimes found in silence.
That's why it's the most widely consumed beverage in the world.
And don't you feel bad drinking coffee like that, all by yourself?
No, I was enjoying my soccer game.
