Knowing that Monday was fast approaching and we were about to workout under the orange lights for the first time since the accident and after a long three months of recovery, there is no denying the diet took a hit.

I actually don't look at my change of eating habits as a diet but more of a live it. When I chose to take the health and fitness path to help me live a longer life, but more importantly live whatever length of time in life I have - feeling as healthy as possible. I wanted to ensure that I was not going to rely on strong medication to live or be a helpless older person.

During the recovery process from the accident, the doctors reiterated to Tiffany and me, that our dedication to working out for all these years was huge; because our bodies withstood an impact that could have really impacted our way of life.

Thankfully and even though there is permanent damage, it is not enough to affect our day to day and our quality of life will be just fine.

With that said, this weekend we grocery shopped by making sure we tweaked some choices to where we knew that getting back to the high intensity interval intensity training sessions; must coincide with the eating choices simultaneously and Cheat Day Saturday will be just Saturday not additional days added to it lol.

On Saturday, we kind of melded both by going to one of our favorite places called BOLAY KITCHEN and they are known for a nutrient rich, exciting, and flavorful menu along with an emphasis on community, health, passion, flavor, and service - Their Story

I'm pretty set with what I usually get unless they are out of the steak au jus then I pivot to the spicy thai shrimp.

But I went large and doubled my steak and my Asian sweet potato noodles and picked the herb roasted potatoes and ginger broccoli with some Cilantro Avocado sauce and a glob of Avocado on top. Yes, portion size was blown out of the water and obviously I go a lot less when things go back to normal and it's go time!

Tiffa had a smaller portion without doubling anything, tofu and shrimp instead of double steak and did not add the extra avocado and she also chose the broccoli and potatoes. If you look at the picture I uploaded, it's easy to tell which one was my "bol"

Also, my iPhone must have been super happy when I took that picture lol..

Having a cheat day is such a good idea. Makes the other 6 days easier to live with. Thanks for sharing and have a great workout.
