Have fun before returning to Malaysia with the last trip to Hat Yai..
Hello everyone. Today is our last day in Hat Yai, and our final day of travel. The day has come to an end, and we must return home. So, we packed our bags and went for a delicious breakfast. We also went to Big C to buy some things. Afterward, we headed to the Sadao border crossing to get our passports into Malaysia. Today, we'll have more stories and activities for you to enjoy.
Today was an extra early day for us because it was our last day of sightseeing and eating delicious food in Hat Yai. The kids woke up feeling energetic, knowing they had to return to Malaysia and go back to school. But my little one was still sleeping and wouldn't move, haha. Never mind, we'll wait a bit longer and wake him up later. So, my sister and I showered, got dressed, and packed our bags, ready to check out late that day.
After showering and getting dressed, we had to find something to eat. Today was our last day, but breakfast was still rice porridge and steamed dumplings at Songkhla Jok. When we arrived, there weren't many customers, which was a good thing. The staff came out to greet us warmly. It was time to sit at our table and we chose the menu. My eldest daughter loves steamed dumplings, so we ordered two dishes. The steamed dumplings here are quite delicious, with a firm texture and very appetizing appearance. I even secretly thought that next time I'd try buying dumplings to wrap steamed dumplings for my children to eat at home.
Small pieces of youtiao (fried dough sticks) were just right for the iced coffee I wanted to drink this morning, as I anticipated a long drive back to Malaysia. So, I decided to drink coffee to keep me awake and to be my long-term companion while driving. The small pieces of youtiao were delicious, not too chewy and crispy, and paired perfectly with the coffee. After the youtiao was served, not long after, the minced pork congee with offal arrived. This pairing was another delicious combination.
Minced pork congee with offal looks very delicious. I ordered two bowls. It's good to eat minced pork congee in the morning. It has eggs, which makes it even more nutritious. Eating fried dough sticks with the congee is also another delicious way. We ate and chatted. The children are still waiting for another dish.
The freshly cooked BBQ pork rice bowl was served with fresh cucumbers, but my daughter didn't have time for the cucumbers. The tender pork and the sauce were delicious, along with the delicious jasmine rice. Our daughter finished it in no time, and now it was time to head to another shopping mall before we headed back through the Thai-Malaysian border.

We headed to Big C to pick up some more things. We especially wanted some dried bananas, which were naturally delicious but quite hard to find. When we arrived at Big C, we started looking for them first. We ended up finding them and bought a lot of them, haha. Since we don't go out very often, we had to stock up on some. Big C is huge, and there are a lot of Malaysian tourists here. Some even bought dried mangoes, which are a very popular item and are truly delicious. If you go to the market, they're sold by the kilo, but at Big C, they come in packages, which look cleaner and more appetizing. However, the price is about the same as in the market, not much different. After shopping, we drove to a restaurant to order takeout, as it was almost 3 p.m. and we hadn't reached the Malaysian border yet. After packing up our food, we drove straight to the Thai-Malaysian border to head home.

When we reached the border, we processed our passports. After that, we started counting the time at 6:00 PM, starting from the Malaysian border and driving along. As we drove back home, it rained the whole way, making it dark earlier than usual. My husband drove more slowly than usual, cautiously. By 10:00 PM, we were starting to get hungry, so we had to park and find a place to eat. But because it was raining so hard, we didn't get out of the car. My husband went to get some food from the back of the car and sat in the car until we finished eating.
We drove home around 3:00 AM. After unpacking the car, the kids went to bed. That's it for today, our last day in Hat Yai. Now, my two daughters have to go to school. Thank you, friends, for stopping by to read my article today. Thank you for following and supporting me so well. See you in the next article. For today, goodbye.
