Curious About Purple Sweet Potato: No Idea How To Cook It Better

Anyway everyone my blog for today is quite unique in my eyes but I don't know if it's known to you but honestly I only saw this kind of variety today. Well I was scrolling in a social media marketplace and I found this one. I was curious so I bought two dollars and I was surprised it was so big and round. I'm not curious to the outside color anymore because my father had sweet potato plantation so I'm aware of the skin color.
I'm not aware it was too big. Bigger than my fists hahaha.
I was shocked by the color because it looks like ube. Ube is another kind of root crop which is so purple and mostly used as ice cream flavors.The color was so bright that I was inlove with it. It's so purple bright. I was shocked because I never seen a sweet potato which is as purple as this one and not just the skin but also the entire meat of it. Very interesting!
I sliced it into tiny pieces. But just like the title of this blog, I don't know how to cook this one. Every sweet potato variety has it's different taste and different styles of cooking for better appetite. I am thinking of a fries but I was curious is it okay? Hahaha or this is better to be steamed or a cake. I don't know a lot is running in my mind.
It looks very perfect like I don't like to cook it hahaha. It's amazing how God able to design this kind of little crop. But anyways for anyone who had tried this one. Let me know what's the best cook for this. This tiny slices I fried it but I don't much like the taste even I put sugar on it. I'll be heading down the comments thank you for your suggestions.
I'm not familiar with sweet potatoes, but three years ago, I bought purple potatoes and planted them. It wasn't the potato peel that was purple, but the potato itself was that color. When we harvested the harvest in the fall and made mashed potatoes from such potatoes, it looked very unusual.
As a result, my family did not appreciate my experiment. This year, we didn't plant purple potatoes.
By the way, we have been planting purple string beans for several years, but my mother refused to eat them, calling them worms.

I like this purple sweet potatoes to steamed or turned into dessert like ube halaya or even sweet potato cake purple flavor.

Wow, this is beautiful. We have Potatoes as big as this one in this part of the world. But these colour of potatoes is not that popular; though I have told of it, but have not seen one. Thank you for sharing your experience with one today

That kind of sweet potato is yummy when boil with coconut milk then add sugar on it and make it into creamy. Yummy!

We have purple sweet potato/taro in Vietnam, and there are countless ways to enjoy them in both sweet and savory dishes. Some popular ways include boiling and dipping them in cane molasses, sugar, or honey; cooking them with coconut milk; making taro ice cream; or simmering them in soups with meat or bones,... They all are yummy :))
