Post Easter syndrome

Easter sunday is pass, abstinence is done. I did not do it for the course of "repaying" nor "wishing" for something i wanted. I do it as a self challenge. i guess now its the time i see the different side of the 6 weeks abstained diet.

Photo taken at Mid Valley Megamall the other day when me took the kids out to buy some supply

First and foremost, i did not immediately start my usual heavy diet, but as soon as i started to eat meat again, i find myself having indigestion. My stomach went bloated and i am having difficulty to swallow. I thought it was in my mind, so i carry on and eat more meat as i usually would do.

Here comes the problem, i think my stomach has been so used to digesting fibre and carbs for almost 2 months, now that a bunch of meat coming it, it has trouble to process them. I feel hungry but bloated at the same time. I gas myself all the time when I'm walking, driving, even when i was asleep.

The first two days i am having constipation and my fart smells like a yetti. I almost fainted one afternoon when i was driving and my butthole decided to release some poisonous buttane in the car when the air recycled through the vent, oh my fartness, i can imagine throwing a durian into a can of coca cola.

And then the following day, i am having diarrhea. My butthole squirt like a fire hydrant spraying all over the place uncontrollably. Pardon the language, this is the best i can describe how this event sets in. Following by having fever, i am backed down with simple food consumption, some salted egg porridge, some bread and that's about it.

Magically, all the stomach upsetting symptoms gone immediately. Perhaps its a sign for me to stop cut down or even stop eating meat. No i dont want to be a vegetarian, not to mention vegan. But i find myself operate better without meat over the past 6 weeks during lent, may be i should continue to abstain?

It's very funny when you said "poisonous butane" 🤣 Though it's not funny to have diarrhea and a bloated stomach. Probably you can try start eating meat again but only little by little until your tummy gets used to eat again.

I experience indigestion after heavy meat consumption especially with less fluid and physical activity. It's amazing how our body shows those signs as reaction to the food we eat. Yes, seems like your body is saying that it's fine to continue abstaining. 😀 It was good that you got through 6 weeks without eating meat. 👍

Sometimes, when your stomach gets used to not eating your usual foods, even for three days, you feel different when you go back to the foods you like to eat. You feel different because your stomach is changing and adjusting to the things you're eating.

Hmmm... This doesn't happen for the past 20 years. I have been practicing abstinence every lent. For the first time I have difficulties come out of it

It might be the weather that caused it all. Have you noticed the heat index that we feel? The heat of the sun is so hot it feels like you're in a furnace.
