Summer Days 夏の日々 [English and Japanese]
Summer Days
I can sense a touch of autumn in the air as the temperature changes. The clouds are different from those of summer, and even the breeze carries a distinct feel. There's a bit of melancholy that comes with the end of summer.
I still have yard work to finish before winter, but it takes a long time to complete. I make time for yard work between my other tasks, spending 2-3 hours each time. It's refreshing to move my body like this regularly.
These are mints and their flowers. I love the smell of mint very much. We found these plants next to our ditch on the driveway. The heavy rain almost washed them away with the gravel, so we transplanted them to a safer spot. Initially, they looked a bit damaged, but they’ve been recovering little by little. Hopefully, they will produce healthy flowers again next year.
I don't usually cut and pick flowers from my yard because I like to see them growing naturally on the ground.
Here are some potato plants in my backyard. I’m hoping they grow well. We got organic potatoes from our local farm market, and we’re looking forward to harvesting some this coming early autumn.
I made keema curry the other day. I love eating keema curry in the hot summer. I topped it with some parsley from our planter.

What a nice collection of photos. It is so amazing that you grow some of your own food in your garden. Best of luck with the continued harvest and meals!
Thank you so much for your kind comment! It made me happy to enjoy the food from my garden. ;)
