πβ΅π§οΈ A morning full of stories: Our family's struggle with the flood crisis and lessons learned from "Bamboo Knife" π€ββπ‘
Hello, dear friendsππ»
This morning started with fatigue and a soft glow... I woke up later than usual, as we had barely slept the previous night. We decided to spend the night in the garden to monitor the situation, as the water levels were rising rapidly and alarmingly.
π¨ A Life-Saving Moment with a Natural Knife
Our evening activities in the garden were exciting, but unexpected. The first thing we needed to do was quickly bring the small boat β΅ we had prepared for flooding back onto land, near the roadside in the garden for safety. My husband rushed into the water to pull the boat in, but the water was much deeper than expected, and he couldn't even hold onto the floating boat. In that instant, my husband looked for a nearby tool to use as a rescue, and he decided to use a piece of floating bamboo.
But the bamboo turned out to be a sharp knife hidden in the water. When my husband reached out to grab the bamboo to pull the boat to shore, it cut his finger quite deeply. The blood kept flowing. I was shocked and ran back to the garden to get my medicine box and bandages. But what made me even more disheartened was that I had left all my medicine and first aid supplies at the restaurant. Without further ado, given the depth of the wound and the constant bleeding, we drove out of the garden and headed straight for our home. Fortunately, the wound was treated quickly. Even though it was deep, I took great care of it. Once I was done, We hurried back to the garden to continue our surveillance mission.

π Water Blocking and Monitoring Mission
The water situation in our garden is becoming increasingly worrying. The rising water is causing our fish to have a chance to escape. My husband and I quickly brought nets to block off the water flow and low-lying areas to prevent our fish and aquatic animals from escaping.
At night, we still sleep in the garden, waking up periodically to check on the water level. This anxiety consumes us, as this garden is like our second home, and we raise many animals: cows, ducks, chickens, geese, and of course, fish. We need to ensure they are safe from the impending flood.
I fell asleep very late, exhausted, but I still wake up occasionally, occasionally checking in. Until dawn, we drive back to the restaurant to take care of our daughter and mother.
π‘ Encouragement from Breakfast
Upon arrival, we split up and went about our separate tasks. My husband, the barista, quickly made fragrant coffee and prepared breakfast, while I quickly went to feed my pets at home. Afterward, we relaxed and enjoyed a cup of coffee at the dining table. It was then that my sister went out to buy some delicious khanom jeen and other snacks. Upon her return, we all joined the family for breakfast.
At our breakfast table that day, the main topic of conversation was water. The impending floods, rising and flowing waters, and the myriad of concerns about water threats that keep us all on our toes.

With our concerns in mind, we decided to head to the bridge to see the water levels on both sides with our own eyes. Our concerns were confirmed when the water level was significantly higher today than yesterday. I didn't miss the chance to take some still photos and videos as evidence to update our personal situation.

For my husband and I, we planned that after bathing and taking care of Mom, we would head back into the garden to complete the most important task of the day: cleaning up and moving all the belongings from downstairs up to the second floor to prepare for the impending flood. Prevention is always better than regret.

For today, I must say goodbye, everyone. I have a big mission to complete. Thank you for following along and your continued support. Thank you so much. See you again next time for an update on the water situation in our garden.
