Would you like Indian Breakfast after this ?

When we are away from home, it is important that we should take care of what we eat. Especially when we are on a shorter trip to a new destination, because it takes body to adjust with the changed condition. We can get many homelicious food option away from home too, there could be many restaurants or street stalls but we are not sure about the quality that will be served at these places. I was in a same situation situation, but as much as I wants to avoid it I had few bites of it.

Honestly, I have used this photographs earlier on this platform that means, I am bit late in sharing you this #food posts. But better late than never. This is from one of the mini restaurant at the roadside in Haridwar. The place is one of the famous pligrimiage location in India. So we expect a lot of rush at this place all the time and these mini restaurants caters all the food requirement of the visitors. These generally operates from early 7 in the morning till 11 at night. Just because we have so many visitors at this place.

Breakfast is an important meal of the day. After doing all the rituals at the Ganaga river in Haridwar, we went out in searchbof food. Generally I prefer to have some fruits or curd during my travelling time. But my nephews have some other plan. They are the real foodlicious and have no control once they see some food. We all were starving as we were in water for more than an hour. And they could not resist their temptation watching these food outside the restaurants.

IMG_20230905_062957.jpgIMG_20230905_062913.jpg

The stalls that were put up could tempt anyone. They have all the items that may ask any Indian to eat them. The shops does operate for so long hours, but they do not serve any proper meals. It was kind a Indian snack shops with many snack items. The shop has samosa, kachoris, gulab jamun, Halwa, Puri-sabji.

IMG_20230905_062937.jpgIMG_20230905_062933.jpg

isn't all of them looks tempting??? show these to any Indian and they will definately insist to take them there. This is what happened to my nephew or may be he was starving more early in the morning time. We went their around 8 and the shop was operational, with little bit of chaos outside and little rush inside. They have a small sitting area too, which is situated right behind the stalls.

IMG_20230905_063020.jpg

It was properly cleaned and smells better than any other road side eateries. They have wooden chairs and a table between for sitting. My nephew already ordered food for all of us. I am not aware of it untill it was served in table, as I wanted to avoid the oily meals early in the day.

IMG_20230905_063401.jpg

What I like most is the plate that was used to serve "puri". It was on leaf, just use and throw in the garbage. Usually many eateries seves in utensils and they wash them regularly in soap water. But here it was different. They used plant leafs and paper bowl to serve the food. So no worries for washing them, just dump them.

IMG_20230905_063413.jpgIMG_20230905_063420.jpg

The "puri" is an Indian fried form of chapati made up of wheat flour. Quite dry, along with it they seve the "chik peas" curry. It was very common combination all over the restaursnt or eateries. Call it puri-sabji or puri-bhaji.

warning these are not meant for health conscious people, as it has high intake of carbs

My nephew also ordered some sweet item. They have asked for halwa, which are made up of suji also call it semolina and sugar.

IMG_20230905_063150.jpg

But the most tempting one in all of them are the chik-peas curry. Which really looks very tempting with little potatoes and green chilli on top.

IMG_20230905_063423.jpg

After the foods were served, our piece of tables looks like this. Sweet, Indian bread and curry. Just to eat the heaviest breakfast one could ever have. They are not unhealthy, but durely not for a health conscious people. oil fried and lots of sweets

IMG_20230905_063538.jpg

Whether to eat or not to eat, it depends upon us. I tasted all of them little. The quantity was heavy, and it was like enough for the whole dsy. But before start munching on them, I made sure to have some cool pics and here it is shared on the #blockchain.

IMG-20230908-WA0000.jpg

I avoided it, considering i never like oily stuff in my breakfast. Now, I am just wondering, how many on #Hive will consider to have this breakfast?. Surely my nephews loved them, and even ate my share too. Let me know in the comment below.

Peace!!

Namaste @steemflow

It all looks good!
For us Halva is something made of sesame seeds and sugar or honey. Sometimes with soma cocoa flavour or vanilla, usually in a form of bar. It is rather dry and crumbly. Super yummy too.

We have another sweet dish made up of sesame seed, but we used jaggery. It is mostly used in winter time. Many people use sugar unst3ad of jaggery but I like the jaggery taste...thanks for the support.🙂

I had to google what jaggery is :). Don't think I have ever seen it here. We can get regular cane sugar though.

One difficult thing humans find difficult is adapting to another culture's food, it is not easy to eat what you don't know😅 but adventuring is not complete without these foods

I like having Indian cuisine from time to time! My absolute favorite is the Nasi Biryani!
What an unique experience this is to have the food served on a plant leaf 😅

This meal feels a little too heavy compared to the breakfast that I usually take for sure 😂

Biryani is my favourite too when it comes to non veg food. But in take it ocassionally.....serving food in leaf is age old practices. If you ever visit South, you will find serving in banana leaf....even in our village we often make use of leaf plate during marriage or other mass meal ocasion

Yeah Biryani can be really heavy for a meal 😅

In Singapore, we do have some meals that are served in a leaf, however that is usually accompanied by a plate below the leaf, makes me wonder if that is even environmental friendly 🤣

Hello, how are you, everything looks incredible, the truth is I'm quite surprised because what is generally shared on social networks is that the food in India is unhygienic but in your photos I can see that everything is very clean and everything looks very provocative, makes you want to try everything hehehe,
Greetings

What we see is not alwsys true....it is good to have practical side of it.....yes there are some unhygienic place but people know where to eat or not....we have so many popular street food , sold on the street or the roadside...and people of all types crave for it.
