A Non-Stop Holiday: From Palm Gardens to Restaurant Kitchens, Ready to Fight the Electricity Bill

Hello, everyone!

A day off for self-employed people is rarely a true holiday. This is just like me today (the day the restaurant was closed). My schedule runs from morning to night, with both personal and work commitments for my beloved restaurant. But today, I'm having some extra tough moments, from managing expenses to pioneering new energy paths.

Morning Mission: Harvesting the Fatigue

This morning was a day of full-time farmer duty. In addition to caring for my beloved pets, my main task was cutting palm oil. Being a novice at cutting palm oil required more time and effort, but the results were a source of pride. Today, I harvested 80 kilograms of palm oil, which, when sold at 6.40 satang per kilogram, generated around 500 baht in operating capital. Despite the slight obstacle of afternoon rain, which prevented me from capturing any images of my success, the mission was successfully completed.

Upon returning home after a hard day's work, I quickly showered and rested in front of the TV before heading to the kitchen to prepare lunch, which had been late and turned into afternoon.
A simple, energizing dish.
Today's lunch was a simple dish, but packed with bold flavors to replenish the energy lost throughout the morning. It was a spicy, creamy papaya salad with fermented fish and crab. It was a must-have, paired with deep-fried pork belly in fish sauce. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly salty, it was a perfect combination that was incredibly refreshing.
After my meal, I took a short break to relax and take some selfies before returning to business management, clearing the electricity bill and accounting for income and expenses. This was a time when I had to face a shocking reality...

The Electricity Crisis Leads to a Big Decision
Seeing the restaurant's electricity bill this month, which had soared by thousands of baht, shocked me. It made me question whether the daily arduous work of selling food was worth it.
My husband and I decided it was time to rely on alternative energy for the restaurant's sustainability. We immediately began the task of moving solar panels to be installed at the restaurant that evening.
The evening's move was a difficult one. We successfully carried three panels, but two were left in the garden water. Darkness fell before we could retrieve the remaining panels, so we had to call it quits.
We ended the day with a warm dinner.
Before heading home, my husband and I made sure to feed the pets in the garden. Then, we rushed home, showered, and dressed, then went to the kitchen to prepare a simple dinner for my husband and daughter.

Tonight's dinner is stir-fried pork with chili paste, which I started by searching for ingredients in the fridge to eat with hot steamed rice. I originally intended to fry an egg, but I happened to see some salted eggs lying nearby, so I decided to fry them instead. It's a delicious dish that's the perfect way to end a busy day.

This holiday season is proof that energy never runs out if you have a clear goal in mind, whether it's tackling yard work or dealing with a skyrocketing electricity bill. The decision to install solar panels is a real step forward for a better future for your business.

For today, I must say goodbye for now, my friends. See you again next time. Thank you for following and supporting me. Thank you very much.
