We are being told that the annual inflation rate is 8.2%

avatar

Under a deluge of stories from the powers that be, we are being told that inflation is no threat! However, when I went to the Local store to buy fruit, eggs, and milk; I left with 2 bags of food, costing over $80.

Here's one of those flights of fancy:
https://www.nbcnews.com/business/economy/inflation-rate-september-2022-cost-of-food-gas-rent-consumer-prices-rcna51958
They claim that the inflation rate was only 0.4% for September!

One example from my grocery bag is this: Eggs that were $1.39 in January, are now $5.29. this is a 381% increase in 9.5 months! This means that the actual inflation rate on eggs in 2022 was 40.1% PER MONTH!!!!!

I'm not listing the store, because it is not their fault:
IMG_20221016_231207574~4.jpg
I cropped out their internal brand in the picture for the same reason! At least they have fresh eggs....

Interestingly, inflation is going up so fast that boiled and shelled eggs had yesterday's prices. This means that I was able to buy a dozen boiled eggs for about a dollar cheaper than their raw eggs! I have no doubt that the boiled eggs will be significantly higher tomorrow.

Depending on the product, the inflation could be 5% - 300%+. For sure, all meat products have gone through the roof. It's INSANE right now. The fact that Joe Biden has been gaslighting the American people, saying the economy is 'good' is baffling.

Next month, I'll vote for mostly Republicans because Democrat leadership at the Federal level is failing this country. Not many Libertarians have a shot, sadly.

Libertarians would have more of a shot if everyone didn't take that attitude. If you don't vote for the people you want, you'll never get the people you want.

We have reached this cliff incrementally, and must move back the same way, to avoid falling off! A protest vote for a Libertarian that has no real chance of winning, is a luxury we can't take right now. I'm closer to the Libertarian viewpoint than the GOP, but using them to move away from fatal policies will buy time; and right now that is the safest step back to sanity.

Sadly, it is a long trip back from liberal communism, to freedom and Laissez-faire!

That is a very good point, sadly enough, there aren't many local Libertarians running for office. Marco Rubio (Republican), here in the State of Florida, is doing a good job, so I'll vote for him for reelection. Yet, in my federal house district, there are no Libertarians running for office.

As for local/state candidates, there may be a few but they almost NEVER run in Orlando, or in my state house district and state senate. I'll have to look more into it. It's a special year considering our district maps have changed due to the census.

Always look at what a politician does, and ignore what he says; because it's mostly lies!

Agreed on the vote as it's going to help immediately. Fortunately, a lot of the soft Republicans, have been primaried out; replaced by more Conservative people!

They will be bringing their 'A' game to stuff the ballot boxes, so we need turnout.

I like the Libertarians too, but a 2% protest vote now; could put a dummycrap in, and we can't afford that right now!

🤬😡🥵🤮😭🤢👎

For sure! I'm voting for Ron DeSantis. I didn't vote for him when he ran in 2018, I supported the Libertarian option but I didn't vote that year. Ron Desantis has been doing a tremendous job as Governor of Florida.

I like Ron Desantis myself! We'll see if he gets on the ticket first. But he'd be a good choice!

For sure he is going to win this election here in Florida for Governor... Sorry bud, but he is ours here in Florida for the next four years. :P lol

I'm impressed at what he's doing in Florida! He's got two feet on the ground, and a head that's on straight. We'll steal him later, ROFLOL!

We have a governor that the professional politicians hate...we'll be putting him back in too!

Inflation will hit different sectors of thee economy and different methods of production at different rates, but if memory serves, there was approximately 40% inflation of the money supply over 2020-2021, so expect that to eventually be the new equilibrium increase barring additional expenses. meanwhile, chaos is to be expected while everything settles out.

Hyperinflation begins incrementally. They have been artificially supporting the dollar for years, but after the election, that will stop. If the Republicans win over the ballot box stuffing, they will push the dollar into failure in an effort to blame us to help in the 2024 election! If they succeed in their ballot box abuse, they will proceed with their plans of destruction; claiming 'mandate' authority. The first option is less deadly!

We are close to the last equilibrium point for the dollar....

I wish I could so easily predict the future. I don't think the M1 money supply has been pumped enough to ensure hyperinflation. We are definitely still looking at long-term consequences of high inflation and economic stagnation exacerbated by energy costs and lingering COVID-related supply chain disruption.

In normal circumstances I would agree totally. But all this existing damage was easily avoidable, but deliberately chosen to do the greatest possible damage. This is consistent with their stated goal of 90% reduction in the population of this planet! They plan to rule whatever's left....

When we borrowed more money than we could ever be repay, and gave it away, the dollar was doomed to follow the pound the pieces of eight, and the denarius; that used to be the World currency. They all failed soon after incrementally removing the precious metal content in their coins; and spending money they didn't have! That is 100% fatal to a country, and Historically inevitable.

So prep to spoil their percentage!

I like that, got all of it too, LOL! I'm watching for good deals in all these areas even now....

But I'm concentrating on food and medicine right now. A nurse came to work with my wife today, and her gear wasn't working; so I got out the fist aid kit and gave her BP, temperature, O2 sat, and pulse rate. It's good to have the right equipment available!

Yeah, I'm squirreling away a little extra with each grocery run, mainly concentrating on canned goods that are stamped with distant sell-by dates. I have some wheat flour sealed in a plastic bucket. I should get more rice and lentils too. I can grow fruits and veggies if it all goes to shit in time to plant more, and that'll be easier if there's no reason to go to work.

I working hard to get the homestead ready, but I agree. It won't do me any good to plant until I'm out there, because the Deer eat everything I plant to the ground! But I have seeds ready:
IMG_20220906_002040911.jpg
These are all either food of herbals, enough to plant my entire land, 4 or 5 times over. Some of the less recognizable plants, will go out onto the Corp land.

Stay safe, and prep on!

Not sure why you don't think that it is the store or the producer's fault... the government doesn't control these prices... yet. Store eggs where I live have been about $3/dozen all year.

Their incoming prices ( which they can't control) dictate their selling prices. You have a better source of supply locally, and shipping costs are directly added to the price of product!

The end user pays all costs on everything they buy....
