Ah man I am feeling those formative memories from here! The food, simple life in a small town and all those childhood experiences we discover are still with us.
I am not sure I will get back to my childhood town as it is so far away and there is nothing left for me there. Seeing how much has changed everywhere else, you have me wondering what it is like now!

I'm so glad I brought back such memories for you, my friend. Sometimes those days seem so distant and slip completely from our minds. Even though the place where I was born and raised is far away, I still enjoy visiting it from time to time. The people I know and my relatives are still there. It's not unusual for people to feel a longing for their first home, no matter what.
