🌼🥗Making a delicious salad using Classia siamea flower buds🥗🌼

Hello my loving Asean Hive community,

Welcome back to my foodie new blog. How are things going? Is everything OK. I hope all is well and well. It's been a long time since I've shared recipes that make delicious meals easy and quick. Today I'm going to share how to make a salad with a little bit of bitterness. The salad I'm going to talk about today uses flower buds, and it's a traditional food.

Last full moon day in our country, if it is normal, we usually hold a festival on that day. Normally, trees of plenty are decorated and donated to monasteries, and in some areas, large balloons are made. However, due to the political situation this year, many places are unable to hold these events. Burmese people believe that eating flower bud salad on the full moon day of the 11th month is medicine. That's why on that full moon day, almost every house uses that flower bud as a salad.

The name of the flower used to make this flower bud salad is Classia siamea. Some people pick those flower buds directly from the trees and make salads, but some buy them from the market. There are many people selling Classia Siamea flower buds in the market on the days approaching the full moon. I bought it from the market. Before I tell you how to make it, I'll tell you about the ingredients I used.

ingredients

  • Classia Siamea flower buds
  • Peanuts
  • tomato
  • onion

First, I boiled the flower buds in water. After about 15 minutes, I boiled it again with new water. In the same way, I did about 5 or 6 times. This is to reduce the bitter taste.

I used raw peanuts so I heated them first. When the peanut shells came apart, I removed the shells and crushed all those peanuts.

I used 2 tomatoes and 1 onion. I washed all of them and sliced them.

Then I added tomato, onion and peanuts to the boiled flower buds. I added a little salt and a little oil and mixed it all together.

Now I have very tasty Classia Siamea flower buds. What places do you use Classia Siamea flower in your area? Thank you so much for reading my post to the end. Bye Bye. See you next post.
