Symbol of Royalty in Indian Tradition - PAAN an after dinner treat.
An Indian after-dinner treat - PAAN is served folded into a triangle or rolled and is made with a heart-shaped Betel leaf, Gulkand, Saffron, Roasted Coconut, Areca nut, and other ingredients.
The one you see in my pictures is sweet homemade paan, Which we made to serve after Diwali dinner. Our one is rolled because folding paan is also an art and we are not professionals in it haha!
India is one of the most religiously and ethnically diverse countries in the world. As far as I know, Paan is liked all over India. But I have a little doubt about South and East India, that's only because I didn't travel there much. Therefore I am requesting @bala41288 and @inuke Bhai to tell us about the tradition of paan in their part of India.

I remember that in the 90s it was customary to have Beeda as mouth freshener at wedding reception and there was a craze for that. A special paan stall used to be part of the wedding planning. I'm not sure when but that thing became a pandemic of its kind, people were chewing all nonsense in the name of Beeda. Pan masala, Zardaa, Gutka, and all kind of poison is now being sold as Paan.

Rahi baat south India ki, Beeda yahan abhi bhi milta hain but more of a fancy sweet.
'Beeda' ye bilkul naya naam hai mere liye.. humne humesha paan hee suna hai.
Shadion wala sahi yaad dilaya Bhai sach mein wo bhi ek zamana tha.. alag se entry ke pass paan ka bada stall😊 it actually was a symbol of royalty. Aur sahi kaha Bhai aajkal bahot milawat ho gayi hai sabmein par mere liye paan humesha se wo sweet gulkand, mithi supari, saunf etc. Wala hee best hota hai. Blog mein likhna bhul gaya, humare wale mein gulkand, saunf, meethi supari, kesar, aur khajoor hai.. toh it's 100% made for everyone :)
Maine aapko mainly Andaman Nicobar ke bare mein puchhne ke liye tag Kiya hai. Wahan bhi pasand karte hain log paan?
Bhai, Andaman mein bhi abhi ye bas kuch hi jagah par dekhne ko milta hain baaki sabhi to paan ke naam par sirf tobacco khana pasand karne lage hain. Uske upper ek naya DIY wala trend jo insta generation le aayi... Ki paan mein customer jo maange wo jayega. Matlab kuch bhi..
