🍄 Ryadovka lilac-legged or (Lepista personata)

After I finished the day's chores, I was horrified to find that tomorrow is FungiFriday. And for the whole week I did not find time to go mushroom picking to collect content for the my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw.

I quickly jumped out into the street before it got dark and found the first mushroom that came across. 🏃

It looked like champignon or porcini mushroom (which we don’t have). In any case, it looked very edible. I cut it off in order to figure out who it was.

It turned out that this is a good representative of the Ryadovka lilac-legged (lat. Lepista personata).

For comparison: here is a little honey mushroom on the same palm.

These are edible mushrooms. So it's time to go for mushrooms! I left it in the freezer until I had enough to cook or preserve.

For dinner we opened a jar of pickled Ryadovka, which we collected last year.

It's an indescribable taste. Very tender, the consistency resembles seafood. In a sour-salty marinade with spices, they have an unforgettable taste and structure.

It is a sin not to use the wealth of nature, which is under our feet! This is a unique source of natural protein, which is in no way inferior to meat in terms of nutritional value and taste!

Use caution when picking mushrooms for food. Choose only well-known edible mushrooms!
