Those are some cool rock features. It's amazing how wind and rain erode away the rock over eons leaving the interesting formations we can see today. That sounds like a great hike, an 8/10 with relatively low effort and some great vistas. Two different mountain ranges.
Interesting that the name Hoodoo got attached to it, as it's more of an African spiritual term, or Caribbean. But I suppose everything need a name. Maybe the beautiful view made the person who named it feel spiritually inspired?

Any kind of formation like this we tend to generically call "hoodoos", at least here in Canada. But as you say, it is definetly a weird word. Sounds like voodoo lol.
