The Foods We Shared During the Holidays... [Christmas + New Year] <3

Happy New Year everyone! :)
I had a wonderful holiday with my family. Although, I wasn't able to spend Christmas eve and Christmas day with my cousins, we were able to spend time together a couple days after Christmas. It was fun bonding with them before the year ended.

I spent the night of the 31st watching anime with my mama. haha I can't do anything because I had a fever that time. lol Luckily though, my fever was gone a couple hours before the year changed. I still have cough now, though... but it's getting better. I was quite sad not to do the things I intended to do like cleaning my room thoroughly before the year ended because of the fever. xD

Anyway, I'll continue to recover so I could start my first class or work this year. hahah I need to pay the bills. T_T

Oh well... I didn't write this post to rant... I want to share the foods my family and I shared both for Christmas and New Year. :) Most people usually gain some weight during this season... of course, that includes me. haha

It was just the three of us, but we had quite a feast. We love leftovers, though... so no worries. We were able to enjoy them for a couple of days, not only on Christmas day.

Papa grilled some fish and chorizo. Every time they grill some fish, they always buy some chorizo as well. It's because I can't eat fish, so they prepare chorizo for me. So, these two are basically a set. haha

Mama cooked some spaghetti and chicken. Yes, those are breaded chicken fillet. Every time we have chicken these days, we usually just have fillet or chicken breast. It's much healthier.

As for me, I was tasked to air fry some slices of ham. We received it from my best friend. He visited us a couple days before Christmas... :) Also, I made some banana cake as well as some choco-coffee cake. :)

When my cousins and aunt came here after Christmas, they also brought a lot of food... when they returned home, I made them some cake for them to take back home. <3

For new year, we have three different dishes depending on each other's requests.

I love pasta, so I requested mama to make some creamy tuna pasta. It's so good!

This one is papa's favorite. It's called "humba". Since we changed our lifestyle, we haven't had this dish. Well, it's a special occasion, so we decided to have it. Papa was so happy. lol Well, his blood pressure has been constantly normal, so it's ok. Mama can only have a bit because her BP can still be unstable at times. xD

For mama, she requested papa to buy this fish. It's her favorite.

I also made a cake later that day because mama requested. It was after my temperature somehow decreased. The fever made me weak. haha I'm glad it stayed in 2023 and didn't continue in 2024.

I hope this cough leaves soon, too!
