Oh those dreadful worms! We have them here as well, though I have only ever seen two on my property. Toxic for human and animal alike. They tell us to freeze them in bags, then to dispose of them. Are they invasive to your area or native?

They are invasive species, we don't see them often but are aware not to touch.
Native to Southeast Asia, never cut them that much I know, perhaps freezing with salt might kill them, would have to research further.
