A day filled with good stories and fun...
Today marks another important milestone for our shop, as it's the first day we've launched our food menu alongside our healthy drinks. The atmosphere was lively from before noon, with a steady stream of customers stopping by. Some came to purchase our refreshing cold-pressed juices or our carefully selected fresh teas and coffees. But what made my heart swell with joy was seeing our customers' love for and orders for our carefully crafted dishes.
The first dish served, and the opportunity to ask permission from the customer to take a photo as a souvenir, was "Basil Fried Egg with Rice." It looked simple, but it was full of flavor and an enticing aroma. I picked the basil leaves from my backyard garden, organically grown by myself. Of course, I'm very proud of the ingredients I used. I'd like to check them out together.
Even though it was the first day, the work might not be quite settled yet, and equipment still needed to be organized, the challenge and the chaos were incredibly fun.
Cooking food to order filled me with joy and energy every second. Seeing customers enjoy their meal and be happy with what we're making is the greatest reward.
Today marks the first day that cooking has become more than just a job. Today marks the launch of our new food menu, and I must say it was a truly fun and memorable experience. Normally, we focus on healthy beverages like pureed juices and a variety of fresh teas and coffees. But adding food to the menu immediately changed the atmosphere.
Customers started arriving before noon, some just ordering their usual drinks, but many were also interested in ordering food. The first dish we were proud to present and photograph was the "Basil Fried Egg with Rice," a bold and delicious dish that was sure to please customers.
Even though it was the first day, and everything seemed hectic, from preparing kitchen equipment to dealing with customers, the busyness made us feel alive and able to do what we truly love. It was a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Seeing customers enjoying their meals was a huge inspiration, driving us to continue creating excellent food.
Stir-fried Shrimp with Curry Paste, a Spicy and Delicious Dish You Must Try
For those who love spicy and mouth-watering food, don't miss our signature stir-fried shrimp with curry paste. This dish is more than just an ordinary dish; it's a challenge and a source of pride for a chef like me. The beginning of this delicious dish is stir-frying fragrant southern curry paste in hot oil in a wok until the aroma permeates the entire restaurant. Southern curry paste is known for its spiciness and intense aroma. Some customers even sneeze. But when the aroma of the curry paste is combined with the large shrimp that have been stir-fried to a beautiful color, the spiciness turns into a delightful aroma.
Once everything is cooked to perfection, I meticulously place the stir-fried shrimp with curry paste on a plate. I serve it with hot steamed rice and a runny fried egg, which adds a rich flavor. I also garnish the plate with lettuce and cucumber for a colorful and varied taste. It's served with chili fish sauce and a bowl of soup.
Customer satisfaction is paramount, as I see customers scooping up large mouthfuls of rice and shrimp stir-fried with curry paste with delight. And even more, when a customer compliments how delicious it is, I feel so happy and relieved. It's proof that all the hard work in the kitchen has been worthwhile.
Finally, the thing that makes me the happiest chef is seeing the dish returned with all the food cleaned up. That's proof that this dish truly wins over customers.
