A morning filled with the charm of life and the scent of upcoming traditions. 🪷

Hello, my lovely friends.

This morning was filled with the charm of life and the aura of the upcoming traditions. Everything started with the most important task of preparing krathong-making equipment for my little daughter to take to school activities. This truly fosters a love of Thai tradition and nature.

Loy Krathong: A Bond with Water and Nature🪷

First, let me tell you a little about the Loy Krathong tradition. This beautiful tradition has been passed down since ancient times. It is usually held on the full moon night of the twelfth lunar month to pay homage and ask forgiveness from the Goddess of Water (the goddess of water) for the water we use in our daily lives. It also serves as a way to float away sorrows and illnesses with the krathong.🪷

Traditional Thai krathong making uses all-natural materials, such as banana stems or banana trees as the base, banana leaves as the decorations, and beautiful flowers. My daughter's krathong making at school was a great opportunity for her to learn about the importance of environmental conservation and understanding the natural world around us.
This year, the Loi Krathong atmosphere in our area along the Trang River may be different, as the authorities have canceled large events. However, they still facilitated by setting up tents and lighting up the streets for illumination, demonstrating a strong commitment to tradition despite the lack of the light and sound shows of previous years.

Morning Lifestyle: Simplicity that Recharges☕✌🏻🍹❤️

After preparing the krathong-making equipment, I quickly went into the kitchen to make a simple but satisfying dish for my daughter: crispy French fries and a warm glass of Ovaltine. Before my husband offered to take her to school, my daughter had brought some supplies for her classmates that day.

After that, it was a blissful time for my husband and I. We sipped fragrant coffee with Thai desserts and Khanom Jeen (rice noodles) my sister had brought us. We spent time chatting about various things and the upcoming Loi Krathong festival, turning weekday mornings into warm family moments.
I also have more time for myself these days, thanks to my husband's sister, who has been closely caring for my mother-in-law. This allows me to free up time to care for the pets and do other things I love.
The joy of caring for and producing produce from the garden After a full stomach, the next task was to care for the little ones in the house, whether it was a colorful parrot or my beloved friend, the sulcata tortoise, who was enjoying a delicious meal. And the mischievous cat, caring for these little creatures, is another joy of being close to nature.

Today is an exciting day because the Kluai Nam Wa and Kluai Khai that I put in fertilizer bags a few days ago are now beautifully ripe. These are the produce from our own organic garden. So I'm sharing these bananas with my neighbors, feeding them to our pets, and eating them as snacks myself. It's a proud feeling to be able to share the good things that come from our hard work.

My husband and I then continued our journey to Anatta Garden to care for the animals there. We fed the ducks, chickens, geese, and fish, and moved the cows from the front of the garden to the center. We collected fresh chicken and duck eggs and did some gardening, such as cutting some banana leaves and bananas to feed the birds. Finally, we fed the fish in the pond.
Gardening activities allowed us to move our bodies and calm our minds. My husband and I spent some time decorating the banana leaves and flower stalks. Although the clock indicated it was time to write, our natural mission was not yet complete. We continued cutting banana leaves and flower stalks and brought them home to prepare for the afternoon's krathong-making activity.

This morning was filled with a variety of activities, including preserving traditions, sharing family love, and truly living close to nature. I hope today's story inspires you to embrace a slower life and find joy in the simple things around you.
Thank you for following and supporting me. See you next time!
