I have the 15 Pro Max since a while and the camera has its flaws, but overall quite decent, and natural colors (compared to the somewhat exaggerated ones from the Asian phones). Will probably switch to 17 Pro Max once it is out (and the camera is improved).
I like colors more, b&w only for some specific settings like streets/architecture or portraits.

You are right, the Huawei did exaggerate colours somewhat. If I continue to enjoy working with the iPhone, I may get the 17 when it releases this fall.
