Actually it was very nice, because it was high desert and we had over 300 days a year of beautiful sunshine!!😎
Our house had a glass southern exposure window 18 feet tall and we only build a fire in the evening when the sun went down!
It's beautiful country, but it's tourist country, like Hawaii .....very difficult for our kids to grow up and find a job that paid more than McDonald's!!🙄

At one time when I was younger, I wanted 50 acres and a large home......
Now I realize, even if it's paid off they will charge me to live there with taxes that they increase every year!🙄🤔
