Mini Cromboloni From white Bread With Matcha Topping

Hi everyone...
How are you guys? how about the days? Seli has not been present for a long time because she is busy with lectures and is preparing for field practice which is mandatory for female students. Because I'm only studying until 2 pm today, I thought about getting creative again with ideas from several references that I had saved. While traveling from campus to my boarding house, I stopped briefly at the bakery to buy plain bread or white bread. For other ingredients, I have stock in the boarding house that I rent far from home.

When I arrived at the boarding house, I immediately cleaned my body, washing my hands and face. After that I went to the public kitchen to cook the snack I had been thinking about earlier. Since my friend had just come home with her sister, they helped me and accompanied me to cook. My friend Zizi helped me take pictures. I prepared the ingredients I needed, it wasn't difficult and only took a short time. I will make fried cromboloni with white bread. With only minimal ingredients, let's make it into a delicious snack.

  • 4 slices of white bread
  • Matcha spread
  • Ceres mess (as sprinkle)
  • Right amount of oil
  • knife


For the materials and tools, I just used what I had, if you want to replace one of the ingredients, it's no problem according to your individual wishes. Like changing matcha jam as a topping to chocolate jam, no problem.

how to make a simple recipe

  • prepare a cutting board, knife and don't forget to wear gloves

  • take a piece of white bread and cut or remove the edges of the crust

  • do this to all the bread

  • after that, take a glass as a grinding roller and place the white bread then grind it with the glass until it is flat

  • then, place the bread parallel and place one bread on top of the edge of the other bread

  • roll gently until it forms a roll

  • then, cut the bread into pieces

  • after cutting everything

  • heat the oil on the stove over medium heat

  • then, fry the bread with chopsticks so that it doesn't change shape. I do it when the bread comes in and wait only a few seconds to avoid damaging the bread roll.

  • Don't forget to turn it over and lift it when it turns brown

It's short and easy to make, don't doubt the taste because my friends who were with me to accompany me at that time were the ones who ate the mini cromboloni snacks that I made. As children from overseas, it is quite hard for us to buy large cromboloni which are sold in cake shops or coffee shops, even though the taste is a bit different because of the different ingredients, it is still no less delicious than the original.
