A school friend's invite sparked her spirits
Anything for friendship....
It was her friend's son's 17th birthday and after a long time, she got an opportunity to meet several of her school friends at the same place. Unlike me, she does not go often and meet her friends, so this was kind of a rare opportunity for which she seemed to be quite excited. It's not easy for ladies to step out of home, especially when you have two growing kids, so when she told about the function, I instantly said YES, even though it was a working day. It's very much necessary for the chief of house to de-congest herself, and this was much more than that - specially when you are meeting your old friends from more than two decades.
The Destiny - once we reached the venue, we felt like truly have arrived at the Destiny for a nice evening, for which she was pretty well prepared, planning beforehand.
I didn't know that she brought this beautiful saree for this occasion - was a free spark for me after all :)
The venue inside was a grand place, with a big cake for the birthday boy.
And now look at the excitement between her friends to meet after a very long time.
They were in no mood to eat and I had to interrupt them - come on, there are some very nice food we must also enjoy.
These are some big celebrities from her friend's family, so a photo was well deserved.
Even though her friend and her husband was quite occupied, I followed up with them and made sure to have a family pic - these memoirs are some gold moments that will remind us about the nice time - small but powerful little happiness. And now let me present you the food - it felt like a lavish treat for a birthday.
Starters were being served outside and everything was so tasty.
Gupchup or Panipuri always seems to be a special weakness of ladies - it must have been a lady in some previous birth :)
You should have told us to come early in the evening - how do we eat so many items !!
We let her spend more time with her friends without bothering about us - you do that at home, now we can manage on our own.

The main course was equally grand, but we could manage to eat only few items - mutton and roti.
However full you feel, there is always space for ice cream, isn't it ?
The Menu - kids enjoyed the evening with some real great food.

Honestly, the food looks delicious, and well, that's true. We should always take advantage of it to de-stress and come back with more energy to fulfill our obligations at home. Sharing time with friends is always a special moment.
