Food that unites us: family tastes and photos taken with a phone

Hello everyone!
Today I want to talk about food — a topic that never seems to go out of style. YouTube videos of people cooking and eating get millions of views. Why are we so drawn to looking at someone else's plate? Perhaps food is associated with comfort, joy, and prosperity. And also curiosity: what do people eat in other countries, what are their traditions? So I decided to share our family dishes that we love and show what they look like.

I'll make a reservation right away: most of the photos were taken with a phone. I don't always understand why I take pictures of food, but every time a dish pleases the eye or evokes emotions, my hand automatically reaches for the camera. Maybe this is my way of remembering delicious moments? )

Let's start with my children's favorite — chicken kebab with country-style potatoes. Crispy potato wedges and juicy smoky meat are their absolute hit. I'm not a big fan, to be honest, but I'm ready to order it again and again for the sake of happy smiles of children.

My personal love is oatmeal. I usually cook it in water to make it lighter and healthier, but sometimes I treat myself to the milk version. In one of the photos - oatmeal with nuts, sour cream and cherry jam. Sweet, satisfying and cozy! Another option - with berries, pieces of peach and a pinch of cinnamon. It's like a small dessert that charges you with energy for the whole day.

Next - my favorite vegetable dishes: bell pepper rolls and eggplant rolls. Inside - soft, tender cheese mixed with aromatic herbs: dill, parsley and sometimes basil. These are light, fresh snacks that are perfect for the hot Thai climate.

My wife loves a salad that I jokingly call "Wood Grouse Nest" - although, honestly, I don't know the exact name. It's a mix of fresh vegetables, greens and, it seems, some secret ingredient that makes it so beloved. If you know the name of this salad, write in the comments!

Another dish that we all love is manti with lamb. This time they were served with spicy adjika, which adds fire! This is a simple, but incredibly tasty dish that never gets boring.

And, of course, pilaf is the king of our table. In the photo - pilaf with quail eggs and kazy, Kazakh horse meat sausage, cooked according to a home recipe. Kazy is a rarity, it is made in small quantities, and each piece is like a small holiday. If you haven't tried it, be sure to add it to your gastronomic list!

We wash it all down with tea. I prefer classic black, and my wife and kids choose tea with ginger and raspberry - it invigorates and adds a tropical mood.

These dishes are part of our family life, and each of them is associated with warm moments. Maybe for someone they are familiar, and for someone - something new. Everyone has different tastes, and that's great! Don't write "dude, the food looks cool" - instead tell us what dishes you like or what you would like to try from our menu. - I'm really interested to hear your gastronomic stories!
