Little market walk with family and ingredient hunting for dinner
Sometimes, the local market makes the most easiest and affordable ingredient that you can get. No matter in what or which type, they always got you cover. Well as for me I did mine at the local market as well. Not open daily, but once a week during evening time only. Let me show you around what they offers here.
You'll not goes wrong with veges. As I believe most menu needs it as well right. So this shop offers any you can choose and 3 bags for only 50 baht ($1.5). Mix and match is available.
Of course, seafood is available as well. From fish to shrimp to squid as these are the most common the locals will buy. Hmm maybe I should get some for grilled shrimp.
Snack wise such as taro coconut pancake or Tokyo with filling are sold for 20 baht each. Kids love it I must say.
Mangosteen and rambutan season are here. 4KG - 100 baht.
The only slipper stall. You can try it before buying it. No idea is it comfy but hey I know is cute 😆.
The other side where only food are sold. Such as buy&go or to eat kinda food are freshly prepared during that period of time.
Braised pork knuckle anyone? Yummy.
Dont forget about traditional Thai dessert too.
After get home, I cooked minced pork veges soup for my family which I got it earlier from the market.
Ingredient such as cucumber, egg tofu, vermicelli and minced pork is all you need. Easy, refreshing and is fast to prepare. Highly suitable for person which don't feel like eating rice and this got you covered.
After meal, I got Bua Loy (A popular Thai dessert made of glutinous rice flour balls cooked with sweet coconut milk. The rice balls are often colorful, and is known for its soft, chewy texture with coconut milk. It's the same as Chinese dessert name Tangyuan 汤圆

Wow, there are many choices. It's nice to come here every week to buy some goods that are sold cheaper. We also have mangosteen and rambutan fruits here. Going to local markets is fun.
The locals loves it too. Especially fruits. Yeah it wont go wrong with it.
That must be a busy place as lots of choices are shown in the photos. From food to footwear, they've got everything a passerby if not a shopper needs. Nice!
Food always make me hungry so this one is no exception (hehe). Great photos!
Thank you so much. Glad you like it. Yeah I have to agree with you. Food always the first to go and it wont goes wrong.
Going to the local market for some grocery shopping is something I used to look forward to when I was young - that never changed even now that I'm an adult. Although it's crowded and noisy, I find it exciting: learning how to bargain, picking the best vegetables or meat for the best cooking results, and lastly, hunting for delectable snacks. I love the rice cakes and roasted peanuts. The Chinese dessert Tangyuan looks like the "lugaw" that Ilonggos here in Visayas make. Is Tangyuan sweet?
Is something from the past which last until today. And is amazing to see these gets continue. Yup it is sweet because used coconut milk to cook it.
Your local market is so rich with everything. The prawns look fresh and seems like affordable.
Thank you friend. Yeah sort of selling what the locals loves to eat.
