Market Friday and Flowers
We are getting very close to finishing the math portion of our distance education program. Minime has put in a lot of effort and made tremendous progress this year, and so a reward may be in order. A chocolatey one.
We have one last test, which will likely be completed tomorrow, and one last probability project. We are directed to place five or six different colours of candy in a bag. Skittles or MnM's are recommended. Yuck, right?
We have decided to go uptown and with Lindt truffles instead. I keep telling myself I'll quit Lindt, and then I keep eating it.
Fortunately, or not, depending on how you look at it, we have a Lindt boutique shop in town and it offers a myriad of different flavours, each of them wrapped in a different coloured wrapper.
They are also offering this beautiful Spring carrying bag for those getting larger orders, which we did. It also just happens to be the right size for a bag of wine. Would you be disappointed to get a Lindt bag, but with wine in it instead of chocolate? I suppose I could also throw in a few truffles, so it won't be false advertising.
Lindt usually has deals for those that buy in bulk. We went with the seventy-five assorted truffle balls for forty-two dollars. You get to mix and match whichever ones you want. Filling your bag is lots of fun. Of course we got plenty of extra dark and a few matcha balls for mommy. Minime is more of a fan of hazelnut and caramel milk chocolate. There are other fun flavours like mango, blueberry, double chocolate, mint, strawberry cream, and coconut. My morning coffee will be elevated.
For those of you who are not quite the chocolate gourmands that Minime and I are, they have all the old trusty standbys and in smaller quantities.
If you aren't too picky and enjoy a deal, the store usually has some clearance bags from last season. I can vouch for those dark strawberry ones. They were tasty but a bit sweet for my taste. I don't think I could get through a hundred, even on sale. But spy there in the corner some mixed in with milk and dark.
Whatever your tasted, I am sure Lindt will have something you'll like, literally barrels of it.
Hey, my friend, long time no see, love the tulip colour pop, it's very beautiful and effective!
Nice to hear from you:) Thank you:)
All these flowers looks so beautiful and amazing. Here in Pakistan also there seems to be a bazaar, the things inside are cheaper than other shops.
Did you buy anything?
I often prefer to have flowers on the plant and end their life cycle over there. In this way it supports many wildlife and ecosystem.
Releasing the seed first is a good idea:)
Yes that's also a start of new generation.
👍
Oh, my!!!! You didn't tell me that you had the keys to the kingdom!! You and Lindt!
a match made in heaven! They have so many different flavors! I prefer dark chocolate, but, will eat milk chocolate! :)
Have I told you that you give the best rewards? I have a store here too, but, not nearly as many good deals as you get! I think I would enjoy almost any kind, what is not to love, right? What a sweet post! ❤️
Great job by minime!
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
#MarketFriday loves you!
Yes, I like the dark chocolate too but their milk is rather lovely; they caramelize it just a tad.
