My Day in Almere, Netherlands with Cocktails and Mexican Food

This week was pretty different and emotional as well. The new year was okay, I did nothing but had a good rest. I was able to spend more time with Gigi and found out some of her new tricks. I still don't understand where she learns those new tricks. Her behavior always amazes me. The weather is not friendly here in fact pretty dull windy weather. Sometimes it's very hard to walk in the windy weather and Gigi also doesn't like such kind of weather. So, we spent time together in the room.

Work-life is boring and pretty much the same things I do every day. I miss my home, I miss being at home because the place where I am staying is not home. I gave thought to buy an air fryer so that I can cook. Probably next month, I don't know yet. My paycheck arrived and it's not very satisfactory. The heavy work I did during the holiday season didn't pay off and was not worth it. I still need to learn a lot about the Netherlands.

After the new year, I had taken a walk in Almere Centrum. Basically, I wanted to see the city and Christmas lights because I heard soon they will be turned off. It had been drizzling for the entire afternoon and evening but I had decided to walk.

Many people live in Almere but the Christmas lights and decorations were pretty disappointing. I didn't find anything significant for the photography collection or for writing. Christmas lights in Almere city were very basic, I didn't even see anyone taking photos with the decors.

I mostly visit supermarkets but also check the clothing stores and home decor because I always check if there is any kind of sale available. I always try to find good quality clothes at a cheap price, that's just me. I arrived in the Netherlands with almost nothing so I had to buy clothes and other necessary things as well slowly. Now I have most of my necessary things besides people gifted me a lot of things as well. 7 months of job life and my saving is not so much. This year I will try to save some money.

But I spend the most money of my paycheck on food and for Gigi. Sometimes I go to Amsterdam and spend some money there...

Maybe I try to find a distraction or maybe I try to involve myself in looking for something new. I don't buy things always, I love to look at them also. For example, I sometimes go to Primark and spend an hour there just to look and leave the shop without buying anything in the end.

Mexican food is my all-time favorite and I love cocktails. Here in Almere, we have a Mexican restaurant nearby. The price is a little bit expensive but the food is delicious. They serve a generous amount of food for dinner. So after the new year when my paycheck arrived, I decided to have a nice dinner at a Mexican restaurant called Rosita's. This was my third visit there.

I like the ambiance of this restaurant and their cocktails are mindblowing. I like their nachos as well. The reason I often go there is because of their cocktails. They have good quality cocktails.

I always choose to sit in their semi-outdoor sitting area, it always remains crowded especially during the weekend. On Friday night and Saturday night, they have Happy Hour for the drinks.

You can't even imagine how much I love cocktails, I can drink 3-4 cocktails whenever I go there. I especially love Tequila Sunrise, Sex on the beach, and Pornstar Martini. Sometimes I try Margarita and blue lagoon as well.

The lighting of the restaurant is different and very hard to take photos because of the use of warm and colorful lights.

Nacho's from Rosita's is the best but their main course is also okay but a little expensive like I have mentioned before. I tried their Crème Brulée but not a fan of it... The ice cream was good though...

You might be thinking I was doing a party there but these were all my drinks... :D

In Kharkiv, we had an authentic Mexican restaurant where I used to go. If I compare Rosita's with that one in terms of food the Kharkiv one was better and cheaper. The drinks menu is also similar and the price is also similar. I really prefer Rosita's for drinking cocktails.

After seeing my post, probably you are thinking my lifestyle is so fancy and I have the guts to spend money on drinks and food. Well, I have seen bad times in life, and to relieve my pain and recover my emotions, I spend my money on doing things that I love. I know I could have saved a lot of money instead of eating outside food but after working so hard and after a lot of struggle, I can give treats to myself a little bit right !!!
