RE: "Life in a Park" - Recalling childhood memories !

Not only did I grow up in a tiny town in western Poland surrounded by lakes and forests, but I also lived on the very outskirts of that town, where life simply flowed — and still flows — very slowly. After more than twenty years, I came back to live here again. And we don’t even have parks, because our town is basically inside a forest or nestled between forests.

But it was really nice to read your article — it reminded me of how life used to be and of certain differences. Like how today, the world has changed so much that many things are now seen as therapeutic, when thirty years ago they were just… what they were. Just the day before yesterday, we were sitting with the family around a campfire, and someone said that fire has therapeutic properties.

Fire hasn't suddenly acquired some extra qualities. It's just that we’ve begun to distinguish modern life from tribal life — the kind centered around fire. We've simply forgotten that tribal life is real life. And sometimes, a park or a campfire reminds us of that.

so true ! may be we lacked carrying the legacy of the ancestors and in pursuit to modernization and comfort in life, we forget the basics of life. Now the life has put us in a mess, so we started to find therapy in everything that makes us happy and relax....be in bonfire, or visit to a park or finding solace in nature.
