Taking photos for La Gallinita Restaurant 📸

La Gallinita is a very nice restaurant, full of flowers and pink walls, a beautiful place with a varied and delicious food, located in Altamira Village, Caracas, Venezuela.

Last year I went to have lunch at this restaurant on my birthday, I decided to go to La Gallinita because I think it is very cute. To my surprise, months later I had the opportunity to take pictures for this restaurant.

For this session I was in charge of photography and art direction, I was scheduled to take photos and videos of 6 dishes: Eggs Benedict, Huevos Rotos (Poache Eggs), Tataki Toast, Salmon with Pistachio, Brioche with ice cream and American Bowl.

The videographer and I set up the lights and set, in total we used three different areas of the restaurant, having different backgrounds to avoid it looking repetitive.

In the photo retouching work, I wanted to give them a finish with vivid colors, where the presence of pink in the dishes was noticeable, since this is the representative color of La Gallinita Restaurant, so I edited the reds and magentas so that they were more towards pink tones. While I gave yellow more brightness and presence, especially in the dishes that have egg as the main ingredient.

I think the photos turned out with a lot of texture and color, I ended up liking the result a lot. Tell me, what do you think of these photos? Would you hire me to take pictures if you had a restaurant? 😌

La Gallinita es un restaurant muy bonito, lleno de flores y paredes color rosa, un local precioso con una comida variada y deliciosa, ubicado en Altamira Village, Caracas, Venezuela.

El año pasado fui a almorzar a este restaurant el día de mi cumpleaños, decidí ir a La Gallinita ya que me parece muy bonito. Para mi sorpresa, meses más tarde se me presenta la oportunidad de tomar fotos para este restaurant.

Para esta sesión estuve a cargo de la fotografía y la dirección de arte, se pautó hacer fotos y videos a 6 platos: Huevos benedictinos, Huevos rotos, Tostadas Tataki, Salmón con pistacho, Brioche con helado y Bowl Americano.

Entre el videógrafo y yo montamos luces y armamos set, en total utilizamos tres zonas distintas del restaurant, teniendo así distintos fondos para evitar que se viera repetitivo.

En el trabajo de retoque y edición de fotos, quise darles un acabado con colores vivos, donde se notara la presencia del rosado en los platos, ya que este es el color representativo de La Gallinita Restaurant, por lo que edité los rojos y magentas de manera que fuesen más hacia los tonos rosa. Mientras que al amarillo le di más brillo y presencias, sobre todo en los platos que tienen huevo como ingrediente principal.

Me parece que las fotos quedaron con mucha textura y color, me terminó gustando mucho el resultado. Cuéntenme, qué les parecen estas fotos? Me contratarían para hacer fotos si tuviesen un restaurant? 😌
