Woahh!!! I never heard the complete quote before. And it does make a lot of sense, really.
We humans and just aren't perfect, and so we'd have to try here and there to get around and by.
For me, being knowledgeable in many areas helps one be "more," as opposed to just sticking to one thing.

YES SIRRR, that I have to agree on.
And it doesn't have to be anything professional, we should do it for ourselves, to keep ourselves updated and ready.
For example, knowing a bit of extra computer work never hurt, I'm talking about maintenance. Many know how to run a PC, but they don't know much about maintenance or repairs. So, if one day their PC malfunctions all of a sudden, then they'll have to wait for an "expert". Funny thing is, most of the time these issues are easy fixes, even YouTube or Google provides enough information.
So, it's just about a bit of extra effort and curiosity.
