That’s really bad and I’ve experienced this in the past with a server that I was running a photography community on. We lost the website and a lot of the files. I had to restore the whole system from lots of little bits. This was back in 2004 when web tech was quite different and you’d rent a single machine for data and image files. One hard drive and it died. I changed hosting provider and restored from multiple backups.

Thank you for sharing that story. It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one who has gone through such a stressful experience. It really puts things into perspective. I'm working hard to recover as much as I can!
