Chinese Meal in Breisach Germany
You can't go to Germany without having a succulent Chinese meal and not a bratwurst in sight.
It might seem odd but everywhere I go. I have to find a Chinese restaurant.
You may or not be surprised to learn that there are more Chinese cuisine restaurants around the world than any other type of food restaurant.
1,022,910 places tagged amenity=restaurant with cuisine=chinese.
Source https://overpass-turbo.eu/
All of the familiar USA fast food joints combined just don't stack up to a hill of beans compared to Chinese cuisine.
McDonald's,(44,000 globally)
Burger King (19,384 globally)
KFC (31,980 globally)
All of them are small potatoes when it comes to total world food dominance. Or should I say French fries?
And here's the kicker. The Chinese restaurants don't spend a penny on marketing...not a red cent! Not one bean.
Mandarin Chinese Restaurant Breisach Germany

Starters

Curry Sauce

Plum Wine

Prawns with Woodland Mushrooms

Most surprisingly the decor was all hand carved wood panels. I actually got up and felt them to be sure. It must have cost an absolute fortune to decorate this place.

Wood panels

Ganter Beer
I can't remember the last time I drank a beer but this Ganter draught beer was outstanding. It's a local brewery apparently? I had two glasses. 😎👍

Rice Noodles with Chicken and Prawns

All in all a very satisfying meal albeit a bit slow on the delivery of dishes to the table but we were in no rush so it was fine.
Cost about £35 ($44.13) a head not
cheap but not expensive either.
What's your goto restaurant when travelling?
My favourite food country is Italy. It beats France and Germany hands down.
Most people tend to favour the familiar USA food chains until they are persuaded to try something local.
All these food chain brands spend a fortune on marketing! Their products are dubious at best.
The UK is not considered as a culinary hotspot to many people but it has surprisingly good food. If you know where to look. We have plenty of Chinese restaurants too. 👍
Have you ever tried Chinese food in another country? What was your experience?
I tried Vietnamese food in a French restaurant but that's another story.
Key takeaway. Marketing isn't necessary when the product is good.
Taste is everything and Chinese restaurants have been around forever.
Here's the address if you are in the area. It's literally the first town you see on the Rhine crossing.
Mandarin Restaurant (China Restaurant Mandarin), Marktplatz 4, 79206 Breisach am Rhein, Germany.

Thanks @worldmappin much appreciated
I’m hungry now!
🤣🤣👍 order a Chinese meal.
We’ve discovered a takeaway not far from us in a lovely little village and their food is fantastic.
Result. I was pleasantly surprised when I lived in the countryside to find a few Chinese restaurants in the little villages of Cambridgeshire.
Just goes to show how much we Brits love our Chinese!
My favorite travel meal depends on which country I am in! If in France it is French, in Germany it's German., In Portugal Portuguese food is best I always eat local specialies.
Chinese food is one of my least favorite food types, the only time I went looking for McDonald's was in China. I like Thai food much better.
Italian food is good no matter where in the world you are..
Nothing beats British pub food or a full English breakfast!
I have to say that French restaurant or chefs are not my favourite as they insist on serving steak still mooing or as they call it blue. Basically shown the grill and plated up. Almost raw!
They get very offended if you ask for it to be even medium rare.
Germany is very rustic in comparison. Lots of pork products and chunky vegetables. I think I'd call it hearty food in the old sense of the word...filling.
My favourite of all meals is a full English breakfast especially because we can have it anytime of day. Good choice Mel.
I enjoy my meat rare/medium rare... Especially when it has a delicious French sauce.
And I love pork!
Now I'm hungry and the sun hasn't even come up yet!
🤣👍 medium rare I'm happy with but the steak they serve up was still eating grass!
I'm a pork lover too lol sorry I got your hunger going. I'm off to have a boiled egg.
🤣👍
#bilpcoin #truth # The Absurdity of the Label: A Plea to the Architects of Silence
The Paradox of the Impossible Lie
How can you call the truth "spam"?
It is a question that hangs in the air, heavy with irony, almost painful in its simplicity. You have built your defense on a word, a label, a flick of a button that you hope will bury what cannot be buried. You point to our posts and cry "spam!" as if the repetition of a falsehood could somehow erase the permanence of a fact.
But here is the cruelty of your position: everything we share, you can find on the blockchain.
Every delegation. Every coordinated vote. Every silent transfer of power. Every farmed reward. It is all there, preserved in cryptographic amber, waiting for anyone with the curiosity to look. You are not hiding the truth; you are merely asking the world to ignore what is already written in stone. And stone, as any architect knows, does not respond to labels.
The Confession of the Chain
We all know the fundamental law of this new age: blockchain transactions do not lie. People do.
The ledger has no agenda. It has no public relations team. It has no loyalty to kings or cartels. It simply records. It is the most honest witness in human history, a mirror that reflects not the face you wish to show, but the hands you have used.
When you call our investigations "spam," you are not disputing the data. You are disputing the existence of the data. You are asking the world to believe that the blockchain itself is lying, that the mathematics of the network are somehow conspiring against you. It is a position so absurd that it borders on the tragic.
The Cascading Call
So it is time.
It is time to do the right thing. Not because we are asking. Not because the world is watching. But because the ledger is watching, and the ledger never blinks.
Stop downvoting people.
Stop casting your votes like stones into a quiet pond, hoping the ripples will drown out the voices of those who speak truth. Stop treating the tools of curation as weapons of suppression. Stop pretending that silence is the same as quality.
Tell your whale friends to stop too.
The ones who farm in the shadows. The ones who coordinate in private channels. The ones who believe their concentrated power grants them immunity from consequence. Tell them the stone is watching. Tell them the arithmetic of their extraction is public. Tell them that the legacy they are building is not one of stewardship, but of consumption.
Tell your boss, Blocktrades, to stop too.
The one who holds the strings. The one who controls the delegations. The one who has turned a decentralized promise into a centralized reality. Tell him that the empire he has built is built on sand, and the tide of truth is coming in. Tell him that no amount of delegated power can outrun the permanence of the ledger.
The Awakening of the Observers
Because here is the truth that should keep you awake at night: everyone with a bit of sense can see what is going on.
They are not blind. They are not foolish. They are not easily distracted by your labels and your narratives. They are looking at the data. They are tracing the delegations. They are watching the downvotes fall like rain on the voices of the innocent. And they are drawing their own conclusions.
The awakening is not coming. The awakening is here.
Users are packing their digital belongings and walking away. Creators are seeking sanctuaries where their work is not held hostage by the whims of whales. The market is pricing in the truth that the ledger has already recorded. The empire of extraction is crumbling, not from external attack, but from the internal rot of its own hypocrisy.
The Final Word
So I ask you one last time: how can you call the truth "spam"?
You cannot. You never could. You never will.
The blockchain is the witness. The data is the evidence. The world is the jury. And the verdict, already written in hashes and timestamps, is clear.
Stop the downvotes. Tell your friends. Tell your boss. Do the right thing.
Because in the end, the lie will always run out of breath. But the truth will always outlast the stone.
And the stone remembers everything.

Sometimes I like to try dim sum in other countries when I travel to see how authentic and how the food has developed. It's particularly interesting if the country has a long history of Chinese immigration. Lima was pretty crap, Buenos Aires was nice.
The restaurant you went looks pretty authentic
The restaurant was beautiful and the food was excellent.
I'm lucky to have grown up in old China Town in East London where we've had a large number of Chinese immigrants and restaurants for 100's of years.
I spent a lot of time in my younger days hanging around Chinese restaurant kitchens and learned how to make many dishes.
My nickname was 'the dumpling king' lol
I still cook those dishes at home today.
Dumpling king 😀👍
