Hidden Gem in the Streets of Dhaka

This man!! His business is quite popular here. A tiny roadside setup, just a few belongings and he is set to run this one. “Dilbahar Ajwa" is quite a heart-wrenching name. I have been to this before once as well. During my previous visit, I was indifferent about him, one of my nephews suggested this hidden gem as he is a local in that area. During that time, he just blew my mind with the taste that went way beyond my expectations. Trust me, I was perplexed with the price and stuff I was getting. Comparing the prices, within a year, the prices have increased by 20% with a little bit of change that justifies the price.

So let's come to the experience. Now I have seen assistance with him, that's obvious as there is always a huge crowd, he introduced a token system so that everyone gets a ticket number and places order one by one so that the early comes gets to be served as they came earlier because there is always a waiting queue that was almost 20 minutes for us. But the results are worth the wait.

From home, he brings these jars filled with nuts, some of the workloads are done from the house, he just picks them one by one and places them before him to start pouring the next ingredients. He has two iced boxes, filled with different liquids, and almost three types of bottles from where he fills the jars one by one.

After adding all the liquid ingredients, he mixes them all, all the nuts get mixed properly and the jars are passed to his assistant who adds the next ingredient and then goes back to him for two or three ingredients that stay on the top and enhance the beauty as well as the taste.

To be honest, all of his ingredients are nutritious and filled with tons of health-benefiting ingredients. There are lots of items to name, and it gets so mixed that you won't be able to point out all of them except a few common ones. My first experience was a splendid, out-of-the-world type impression. This time, it's still a good type impression, not the best because I felt like he had increased ingredients that gave a little different taste than the previous one or I am less curious now as I knew it was going to be something amazing.

Whatever, this one is a hidden gem in the streets of late Dhaka, after 9.00 pm he is seen in a corner of the closed market. He is still 10 on 10, no complaints, big sharks are trying to take him on their side but he is chilling with his tiny setup and people love to stand even for twenty minutes to taste this, no complaints. Good stuff!! Whenever I am around that are at that time, this one is on the must-try list.
