Boiled Kamoteng Kahoy (Cassava)

For breakfast, we had something typical of provincial life. It was the boiled kamoteng kahoy (cassava). It was simply cooked in water with a little salt, and once tender, you can dip each piece in sugar and start eating. This food is often found in the countryside. Just a simple food yet satisfying.

Playing Outside

That same morning, my two boys spent their time playing outside. Aiden had a fever that time, but playing outdoors made him forget about it for a while. Watching them enjoying their childhood moments always makes me smile.

Cooked Something Quick

When it's lunchtime, I don't have many ingredients available... So I cooked something quick. It's corned beef with tomatoes and egg. Just after we finished eating, my sister-in-law gave us ginataang dahon ng kamoteng kahoy. It was a bit late, but we were still grateful.

Stunning Sunset

In the afternoon, we went upstairs... And the sunset was stunning. 😍 The colors spread across the sky creating a peaceful view. Of course, I couldn't help but capture it. Isn't it lovely? 🤗

And that's it!
Days like this may seem simple, but these small moments teach us to appreciate what we have.
No matter how simple it may be, these ordinary days are already something worth treasuring.
Until my next everyday snapshots...
