RE: Construction Site in Vienna (Removal of SMZ "Sophienspital" and a 200 y/o building in the 7th district)

Here in Brazil, when the building is very old and has a historical value only in the architectural sense, demolition is allowed, as long as a permit is requested. But probably, in this permit, the government will ask for the building's façade to be preserved. Here we have several new works with the old facade maintained and integrated with the new architecture. I think it works really well that way!
