La familia de la zanahoria / The carrot family
La zanahoria malabarista,
rueda en los limones por la cocina,
las mesas son una pista,
para esta verdura nutritiva.
The juggling carrot,
rolls in the lemons through the kitchen,
the tables are a runway,
for this nutritious vegetable.
Cuando se cae en la pista,
a cada lado voltea la vista,
para ver si alguien la mira,
pero, no la determinan.
Y aunque el lugar está lleno,
a nadie le interesa lo que está haciendo
pues saben que peligro no está corriendo
y esto es solo un juego.
When it falls on the track,
she turns her eyes to either side,
to see if anyone is watching her,
but, they don't determine her.
And although the place is full,
no one is interested in what she is doing
because they know that she is not in danger and this is just a game.
Un día la zanahoria llega corriendo,
no va sobre un limón como suele hacerlo
algo la está persiguiendo,
es un pelador de verduras negro.
En ese momento todas sus compañeras,
verduras y frutas frescas,
se abalanzan para protegerla
y ahuyentan al enemigo con destreza.
One day the carrot comes running,
it doesn't go on a lemon as it usually does
something is chasing it,
it's a black vegetable peeler.
At that moment all her companions,
fresh vegetables and fruits,
rush in to protect her
and deftly chase the enemy away.
Es que las frutas y verduras,
son familia y se cuidan,
no importa que tan diferentes sean,
se protegen sin importar como se vean.
It is that fruits and vegetables,
they are family and they take care of each other,
no matter how different they are,
they protect each other no matter how they look.
