Street Food Safari = Spending Quality Time on Streets

Philippines have a wide variety of street foods being sold in every part of the country. Most provinces has their own specialties but due to the rising demands of this and that, those specialties are now spread throughout the country.

The common street food in our place would be the Barbeques.

Chicken and pork intestines, Pig's blood, pork, hotdogs, and so much more! There's also Balut which is the crowds favorite. Squid balls, fishballs, chicken Balls, kikiam...these are also available. In the nearest city, you'd probably bump into many Korean street foods like toekbokki and fishcake...There are also Takoyaki stands that is from Japan. Another famous street food would be the Shawarma that actually originated form Turkey but is now famous in the Middle east.

But if you're really up to a fiesta of Street food, I recommend you to go to Baguio's Night Market. They have this wide parking space that turns into Street Food Fantasy World at night! Just be careful in choosing the right kiosk and prepare your mind and body (😅) for the food or else, you'd be getting a stomachache after.

My husband and I actually enjoy these kinds of food. Most of our Dates are spent with street foods. and our favorite?...Isaw! It's just unfortunate that I didn't took many photos of us doing this.

Here are the few shots I took:

My guess is that they call it "dirty ice cream" or "dirty mami" because it's being sold into streets where dust is always present 😅

In my hometown, the kids usually call it "Dirty Soup Noodles".

I love eating "Mami" on rainy days. The ingredients should be overloaded with spring onions, chicken, fried garlic, chili oil, sliced eggs, and julienned ginger.

Thanks for sharing. Good luck with the challenge. God speed.

Do you know that Halo2x will make you thirstier? To quench one's thirst, drink buco juice. Buco juice or coconut water is an excellent electrolyte replenisher. 💞

Oh! That's why after eating Halo Halo, I still crave for a lot of water.

We have coconut trees near our house but the problem is that nobody in our house knows how to climb up! 🤣.

Korean and Japanese style street snacks are now becoming popular in Cambodia too. Even some of the treats from Squid Game are popular on the streets now.

I think, this is one of the big impacts of social media. Many post about food are shared throughout the world and then some become curious and brings that food into their country.
