My Actifit Report Card: June 26 2026

Ten dzień w pracy, to jakieś nieporozumienie i dosadny przykład tego, że osoby odpowiedzialne za planowanie produkcji kompletnie nie biorą pod uwagę temperatur panujących aktualnie na zewnątrz.

This day at work was some kind of misunderstanding and a blunt example of how the people responsible for production planning completely fail to take into account the temperatures currently outside.

Zaczęło się od awarii maszyny, której nikt nie potrafił ustawić, a utrzymanie ruchu jedynie przyjechało, popatrzyło i stwierdziło, że oni nic z tym nie zrobią. To kto ma zrobić? Święty Mikołaj? Po zmianie typu sytuacja się uspokoiła chodź cały czas „sztuki" jechały niepewne.

It started with a machine breakdown that nobody knew how to set up, and the maintenance crew just rolled in, took a look, and declared that there was nothing they could do about it. So who's supposed to do it? Santa Claus? After switching the type, the situation calmed down, although the "pieces" kept coming out dodgy the whole time.

Wiedziałem jednak, że to nie te problemy będą dzisiaj najbardziej uciążliwe. W dalszej części planu produkcyjnego czekało kilka przezbrojeń typu z rzędu, po kilkadziesiąt sztuk, czyli tak zwane „ściepy" i przezbrojenie maszyny co średnio 45 min, gdzie do każdego typu trzeba dokładać inne elementy do maszyny, wszystko dokładnie wyliczać i biegać od punktu do punktu ustawiać wszystko po kolei od nowa.

I knew, however, that these problems wouldn't be the most troublesome ones today. Further down the production plan there were several type changeovers waiting in a row, a few dozen pieces each — the so-called "short runs" — and a machine changeover every 45 minutes on average, where for each type you have to add different components to the machine, calculate everything precisely and run from point to point setting everything up all over again, one by one.

W dodatku wszystkie z typów, które produkowaliśmy od połowy zmiany, to jedne z najbardziej problematycznych na tej maszynie i najcięższych do ustawienie. I wszystko w towarzystwie upału i temperatur sięgających w pewnym momencie 32,5 stopnia ( na hali ogólnie, przy maszynach kilka stopni więcej, gdzie niektóre elementy maszyn nagrzane są do 450 stopni!)

On top of that, all the types we were producing from the middle of the shift onward are some of the most problematic on this machine and the hardest to set up. And all of it accompanied by the heat, with temperatures reaching 32.5 degrees at one point (across the shop floor in general — by the machines it was a few degrees more, where some machine parts are heated up to 450 degrees!)

Do domu po pracy skróciłem więc totalnie wypompowany i przegrzany do szpiku. Nic więc dziwnego że padłem na ponad godzinną drzemkę.

So I headed home after work completely drained and overheated to the core. No wonder, then, that I crashed into a nap that lasted over an hour.

Wieczorem, kiedy zrobiło się już nieco chłodniej przyszedł czas na relaks i trochę rozrywki. Najpierw udaliśmy się do restauracji na „małe co nieco"

In the evening, once it had cooled down a little, it was time to relax and have some fun. First we went to a restaurant for "a little something."

Później stwierdziliśmy, że zobaczymy co dzieje się na dniach Jeleśni, czyli trzydniowej imprezie odbywającej się w pobliskiej gminie. Gwiazda wieczoru był Lady Pank. Zostaliśmy do końca koncertu, ale dalsza część imprezy, którą miała być dyskoteka z DJ'em odpuściliśmy. Jutro muszę wstać o 4 do pracy.

Later we decided to check out what was happening at the Days of Jeleśnia, a three-day event held in a nearby municipality. The star of the evening was Lady Pank. We stayed until the end of the concert, but we gave the rest of the event a pass — it was supposed to be a disco with a DJ. Tomorrow I have to get up at 4 for work.

Dzisiaj nie potrzebowałem dodatkowej aktywności fizycznej. Praca zagwarantowała mi wystarczający wycisk.

Today I didn't need any extra physical activity. Work gave me enough of a workout.
