On Saturday, September 23, 2023, I went to the wedding of Francesca, the daughter of a dear cousin of mine.
Francesca and Natalino's wedding was an opportunity to live the happiness of two people who crowned their dream of love and it was at the same time an opportunity for me to spend time with relatives and friends I had not seen for a long time.

There were about 200 guests, and in today's post I share my dining experience at the Villa Arcobaleno restaurant, which was the restaurant chosen by the newlyweds.

The Villa Arcobaleno restaurant is located in Brindisi di Montagna.
Brindisi di Montagna is a small Italian town in the Basilicata region that is about 12 km from the town where I live.

Unfortunately, for work reasons, I arrived at the restaurant when the initial buffet was already finished but I arrived in time to taste the aperitif that was served at tables around the pool of the Villa Arcobaleno.

There was white wine and prosecco to drink while the restaurant served the tables a plate with:

• Sea bass marinated in Citrus fruits
• Salmon vodka and coffee with curcuma toast
• Cod pie on creamed cruschi peppers
• Shrimp cocktail in pink sauce

I particularly liked the cod pie on cruschi bell pepper cream that you can see in the foreground of the following photo.

In the center of the table, waiters served a mirror with finger foods on it.
In the photo below, starting from bottom to top you can see:

• robiola crostino with bell pepper and parsley drops
• parmesan cheesecake with honey and dried fruit chips
• mini burger with smoked marlin, salad and goat cheese
• mini lemon tartare

I particularly liked the parmesan cheesecake with honey and dried fruit flakes that then see in the foreground of the following photo.

After the aperitif was over, the waiters invited us to enter the room inside the restaurant where the appetizer was served, which consisted of:

• a slice of prosciutto crudo "La Sella di Mastrodante Norcia d.o.p."
• cupoletta with eggplant from Rotonda and provola cheese from Agerola
• Smoked beef with goat cheese on a bed of melon
• lucanina flan and cardoncelli mushrooms
• white meat supreme in caesar sauce

After the appetizer, two first dishes were served.
The first primo was seafood: a plate of Raviolini di baccalà (codfish raviolini) with gallinella ragout topped with cips of cruschi peppers and toasted almonds.

A plate of Stigliano pistachio orecchiette pasta with crispy guanciale and coppery tomato concasse was served as the 2nd entrée.

A plate with Salmon cooked at low temperature in a spicy bread crust with a side of variegated misticanza was served next.

A plate with Filet of suckling pig with wild herbs and aglianico reduction was served next along with a potato flan. Aglianico is a famous wine typical of the Basilicata region.

I liked all the dishes served so far and always left the plate completely empty but no dish made me say WOW until dessert came.

For dessert, a mango cake hemisphere with a passion fruit filling was served along with a peach and pineapple compote.
This dessert was truly a taste explosion for me and if I return to this restaurant in the future, I will do so specifically to re-eat this dessert.

After dessert I went upstairs to have first a coffee and then a shot of rum.

The wedding cake made its entrance into the room accompanied by music and lights.

After photos of the bride and groom with relatives and friends the cake was served, a good and tasty millefeuille with chantilly cream.

Together with the cake, pastries from Mancusi Bakery in Lagopesole were served.

After an interval where there was fun dancing and even karaoke in an outdoor area, a big and varied buffet was opened outside.

There was a corner dedicated to fruit in the buffet.

There was a chocolate waterfall for those who wanted to enjoy fruit and chocolate together.

There was porchetta on a buffet table, and two waiters were serving tasty porchetta sandwiches.

In typical evening wedding buffets in my region, there is always pasta.

In the buffet there was also mortadella freshly sliced and served in soft buns.

On another buffet table was freshly roasted provolone podolico cheese served on slices of bread.

There was also the corner with Cuban flavored cigars, rum and chocolates of various flavors.

There was the corner with sugared almonds of various flavors.

There was the candy corner and here I got a nice basket to take to my daughter who is 9 years old and has a big sweet tooth just like her daddy :)

Soft drinks and popcorn...

There were also crepes and there was also the ice cream cart, which I did not photograph, however, also because at this point I had really over-eaten and even photos would have increased my sense of satiety :)

I returned home just before midnight.

I had a really nice day because:

• the bride and groom were really beautiful and smiling and their joy involved all the wedding guests
• I spent time with family and friends whom I love very much
• I danced and had a good time

The restaurant service was very good, good waiters and very friendly.
I ate very well but the wow effect I only experienced with the mango dessert with passion fruit filling, a real delicious!

Un Matrimonio nel sud Italia: tanti buoni piatti e un dolce gustosissimo!

Sabato 23 settembre 2023 sono andato al matrimonio di Francesca, la figlia di un mio caro cugino.
Il matrimonio di Francesca e Natalino è stata l'occasione per vivere la felicità di due persone che hanno coronato il loro sogno d'amore ed è stata allo stasso tempo l'occasione per me di passare del tempo con parenti e con amici che non vedevo da tempo.

C'erano circa 200 invitati e nel post di oggi condivido la mia esperienza gastronomica al ristorante Villa Arcobaleno che è stato il ristorante scelto dagli sposi.a.

Il ristorante Villa Arcobaleno si trova a Brindisi di Montagna.
Brindisi di Montagna è un piccolo comune italiano della regione Basilicata cje dista circa 12 km dalla città in cui vivo io.

Purtroppo per motivi di lavoro sono arrivato al ristorante quando il buffet iniziale era già terminato ma sono arrivato in tempo per gustare l'aperitivo che è stato servito ai tavoli intorno alla piscina della Villa Arcobaleno.

Da bere c'era vino bianco e prosecco mentre il ristorante ha servito ai tavoli un piatto con:

• Branzino marinato agli agrumi
• Salmone vodka e caffè con crostini alla curcuma
• Tortino di baccalà su crema di peperoni cruschi
• Cocktail di gamberi in salsa rosa

Mi è piaciuto particolarmente il tortino di baccalà su crema di peperoni cruschi che puoi vedere in primo piano nella foto seguente.

Al centro del tavolo i camerieri hanno portato uno specchio con sopra dei finger food.
Nella foto in basso, partendo dal basso verso l'alto puoi vedere:

• crostino di robiola con gocce di peperone e prezzemolo
• cheesecake al parmigiano con miele e scaglie di frutta secca
• mini burger con marlin affumicato, insalatino e caprino
• mini tartare al limone

Mi è piaciuta particolarmente la cheesecake al parmigiano con miele e scaglie di frutta secca che poi vedere in primo piano nella foto seguente.

Terminato l'aperitivo i camerieri ci hanno invitato ad entrare nella sala all'interno del ristorante dove è stato servito l'antipasto che era composto da:

• una fetta di prosciutto crudo "La Sella di Mastrodante Norcia d.o.p."
• cupoletta con melanzana di Rotonda e provola di Agerola
• Manzo affumicato al caprino su letto di melone
• sformatino di lucanina e funghi cardoncelli
• suprema di carni bianche in salsa caesar

Dopo l'antipasto sono stati serviti due primi piatti.
Il primo primo è stato a base di pesce: un piatto di Raviolini di baccalà con ragù di gallinella con sopra cips di peperoni cruschi e mandorle tostate.

Come secondo primo è stato servito un piatto di orecchiette al pistacchio di Stigliano con guanciale croccante e concasse' di pomodoro ramato.

Dopo è arrivato il primo secondo: Salmone cotto a bassa temperatura in crosta di pane speziato con contorno di misticanza variegata.

Dopo è stato servito un piatto con Filetto di maialino alle erbe di campo e riduzione all'aglianico insieme ad uno sformatino di patate. L'aglianico è un famoso vino tipico della regione Basilicata, corposo e intenso.

Mi sono piaciuti tutti i piatti serviti fino a questo momento e ho lasciato sempre il piatto completamente vuoto ma nessun piatto mi ha fatto dire WOW fino a quando è arrivato il dolce.

Come dolce è stato servita una semisfera di dolce al mango con un ripieno al passion fruit insieme ad una composta di pesca e ananas.
Questo dolce è stata davvero un'esplosione di gusto per me e se tornerò in futuro in questo ristorante lo farò proprio per rimangiare questo dolce.

Dopo il dolce sono salito al piano di sopra a prendere prima un caffè e poi un bicchierino di rum.

La torta nuziale ha fatto il suo ingresso nella sala accompagnata da musica e luci.

Dopo le foto degli sposi con con parenti e amici è stata servita la torta, una buona e gustosa millefoglie con crema chantilly.

Insieme alla torta sono stati serviti dei pasticcini della pasticceria Mancusi di Lagopesole.

Dopo un intervallo di tempo in cui ci sono stati divertenti momenti di ballo e anche karaoke in un'area esterna, all'aperto è stato aperto un ricco e vario buffet.

Nel buffet c'era un angolo dedicato alla frutta.

C'era una cascata di cioccolato per chi voleva gustare frutta e cioccolato insieme.

Su un tavolo del buffet c'era la porchetta e due camerieri servivano dei gustosi panini con la porchetta.

Nei buffet nuziali serali tipici della mia regione c'è sempre la pasta.

Nel buffet c'era anche la mortadella affettata al momento e servita in morbidi panini.

Su un altro tavolo del buffet c'era il provolone podolico arrostito al momento e servito su fette di pane.

C'era anche l'angolo con sigari cubani aromatizzati, rum e cioccolatini di vari gusti.

C'era l'angolo delle caramelle e qui ho preso un bel cestino da portare a mia figlia che ha 9 anni ed è molto golosa proprio come il suo papà :)

Bibite analcoliche e popcorn...

C'erano anche le crepes e c'era anche il carretto dei gelati che però non ho fotografato anche perchè ho davvero esagerato nel mangiare e anche le foto avrebbero aumentato il mio senso di sazietà :)

Ho trascorso una giornata davvero piacevole perchè:

• gli sposi erano davvero belli e sorridenti e la loro gioia ha coinvolto tutti gli invitati
• ho trascorso del tempo con parenti e amici a cui voglio molto bene
• ho ballato e mi sono divertito

Il servizio del ristorante è stato molto buono, camerieri bravi e molto gentili.
Ho mangiato molto bene ma l'effetto wow l'ho provato solo con il dolce al mango con ripieno al passion fruit, una vera delizia!
