Beautiful Sunday and Sublime Sunday for The WEEKEND

We started our day by going to one of the restaurants we frequent here in the city. However, because it is a weekend, it was already busy. There is a long line by the entrance. We decided still to wait but then a staff announced later on that the waiting time may take up to 1 hour for orders to be served. That didn't work for us for we are already famished.

Good thing there are other places to eat nearby where there were few customers so that's where we had our breakfast.

It was while we were there and ordered our food that we suddenly realized we should have gone to the Session Road instead because that was our next destination anyway.

Sunday at Session Road is a busy one at least for the pedestrians because Session Road is closed to vehicles every Sunday.

One of the highlights of the said event is the chalk street art. Everyone can participate in this said event by using the pavement as a canvas.

We then walked up the road to see what is in store for us. Most of the times there is market encounter where different stalls are set up along the length of the road. There you'll get to see products mostly food that are being sold. We always look forward to buying rice cakes. However, this time, there were only a handful of stalls.

What we saw instead are these:

There is a Volkswagen show. I think there is a competition of sorts for these cars are decorated with the theme of Christmas. I believe there were at least 20 cars on display.

Some of them are well decorated complete with stuff toys and other stuff inside the cars. Some have placed stuff on top of the car and one has a nativity scene under the hood.

Check more photos here.

I like the one with reindeers which is the entry #1. The car is supposedly the sleigh that the reindeers are pulling. All it needs is Santa.

I wonder who will be the winner for this competition.

With nothing much to see aside from the cosplayers, we then headed down to one of the cafe's we like which is James Wright Cafe.

The place we had our breakfast has no coffee which is odd. I thought every restaurant serves coffee but I was proven wrong.

When we got to James Wright and saw their menu, I changed my mind and tried their horchata. I forgot what it was made of but what I tasted the most was milk and cinnamon.

It has the right amount of sweetness which I like. It was not as hot though as I would have wanted it to be.

Look at the cakes in the background. So tempting!

My partner can't resist the strawberry mousse cake.

It comes with strawberry sauce. However, my partner didn't pour everything but just enough to add more strawberry-ness to the overall experience.

I could not tell you more about it for I don't like strawberries. I only appreciate the cake for it is undeniably pretty to look at. I am usually the cake guy but today I was not in the mood for one.

With that my partner ordered ice shake as well. That too wasn't consumed in its entirety for my partner had enough sweetness.

We left James Wright satisfied as usual then went on to do some errands before finally going home.

This is my #BeautifulSunday (hosted by @ace108) and #SublimeSunday (hosted by @c0ff33a) entry for today.

The Christmas vibes are reay into those cars napo.
I really want to see also the chalk street art since you can witness different, unique arts plus it's in one area.

What you had there looks delicious.
