Letβs make an easy dish β Egg Fried Rice π³π

Todayβs dish is super simple because Iβll just be using ingredients I already have at home π β honestly, I felt too lazy to go outside π . So, I looked into my fridge and thought about what I could make with whatβs available. The easiest and quickest idea that came to mind was βEgg Fried Riceβ ππ₯.
- Iβm going to share with you my step-by-step way of making Egg Fried Rice π©βπ³β¨. If youβre looking for a dish that doesnβt require too many ingredients, I think this one is just perfect π. So letβs get started! π
The ingredients are as follows:
- Steamed rice β 3 cups π
- Eggs β 4 π₯
- Cooking oil β 3 tablespoons π’οΈ
- Butter β 1 tablespoon π§
- Oyster sauce β 3 tablespoons π¦ͺ
- Sugar β 1 teaspoon π¬
- Soy sauce β 2 tablespoons πΆ
- Salt β Β½ teaspoon π§
- Fish sauce β 1 tablespoon π
- Spring onion β 3 stalks, chopped π±
- Coriander β a handful πΏ
- Tomato β 2, sliced π
- Carrot β 1, diced π₯
- Garlic β 2 cloves, minced π§
1οΈβ£Prepare the vegetables π±π₯π

Chop the spring onion and coriander. Dice the carrot, slice the tomato, and mince the garlic.
2οΈβ£ Prepare the rice π
Make sure the steamed rice is cooked and slightly cooled. Cold rice works best to avoid stickiness.
Heat the pan π₯π₯ Add cooking oil (3 tbsp) and butter (1 tbsp) into a pan or wok. Let it heat until the butter melts.

Add cooking oil (3 tbsp), butter (1 tbsp), and garlic π§ into the pan. Stir-fry over low heat until the garlic becomes fragrant. β¨

Add diced carrot, sliced tomato, chopped spring onion, and coriander. Stir-fry gently for freshness and aroma.

Add oyster sauce (3 tbsp), soy sauce (2 tbsp), fish sauce (1 tbsp), sugar (1 tsp), and a pinch of salt (Β½ tsp). Stir well to combine.
6οΈβ£Add rice + eggs πβ‘οΈπ₯
Add the steamed rice and eggs into the pan. Stir-fry together until well combined.

Scoop onto plates and garnish with coriander or spring onion as desired. Ready to enjoy! π

That's an excellent tutorial, and the way I make it is by combining the rice and raw eggs at the same time. My Thai mother-in-law complains that I should cook the eggs first and add them back in at the end, but our way is much better! What do old Thai ladies know, anyway?
