Call it a perfect Sunday

Greetings everyone ๐Ÿ™Œ

Before I left home for church around 6:30 a.m., I knew already that the day was going to be a long one because two of our unit members had informed us of their party for their child dedication.

I was in charge of buying the gifts we were to give them. I was supposed to buy the gifts before today (Sunday), but because I was busy all through the weekend, I couldn't meet up with them. So, immediately after the first service (we usually hold two services), I boarded a bike and headed to the market to get the gifts.

I got to market, and it was a bit scanty; it wasn't full and noisy like it's normal, and that's due to the fact that many people were still in church. I had to walk very far into the market before I saw the stuff I was going to buy.

It was a set of tumblers and sets of kitchen chopping boards, plus knives. The price was okay, and I didn't haggle much. I just bought it and left.
On my way out to the road from the market where I would take a bike, I met "kuli kuli."

I couldn't just resist it; I quickly paused and bought a little portion. It's been ages since I tasted it. It's one of my major chops from when I was in primary school.

After that, I took a bike and headed back to church. When I got to church, the ladies seized the "kuli kuli" from my hand. They've all missed it a lot too. Lucky for me, I had some while I was on top of the bike returning to church, so when they seized it, I didn't feel it at all.

The two families did their church services with prayer, and after that, we took photographs on the church premises.

What Next? Item Seven, for sure!

We were many, up to 15 people, so we shared ourselves, entered the available cars, and drove down to the venues. Yes, yes, they were two venues.

  • The first reception

It was just a noiseless one, a room party with a lot of foods and drinks.
It was just us and a few of the family's neighbors. We were served takeaway of rice and bottles of Malta Guinness, and hey, they brought alcohol, but we dare not take it.

We stayed there for about 20 minutes and left for the other reception ground.

Oh! Less I forget, I made sure I carried two packs of takeaway because I wasn't ready to cook at home when I get home.

We got to the second reception ground, and it was well loaded with many people seated both inside and outside with plates of rice and cans of drinks on their hands.

We moved inside to take our reserved seats. We sat down, and we were offered takeaway of rice plus plastic bottles of soft drinks each.

We presented gifts to them, stayed a little, and left for our various homes.

I got home around 2:00 p.m., very tired, but thank God for the food (takeaway food), which I ate and got myself energized.

That's how I spent my Sunday. Thanks for reading.
