I think it's a bittersweet plant. Hard to say which one, I found a link last year with it and I don't know if this is exactly the right one but I'm pretty sure that's the species. It’s a fucking bitch! Grows like mad and destroys the big trees. Lost a bunch already in our area the damn shit.

Ah, I do not have any experience with removing/curbing any of the bittersweet vines that are invasive. Totally new one there for me so thanks. Most strangler vines take some really aggressive and proactive measures to manage them... which from the sounds of it are not being done there.

No it’s actually kind of surprising and annoying. I don’t know if it speaks to an overall laziness of people or what but these vines are highly destructive of the area. I’ve seen them all around and it’s sad, the fucking birds eat the fruit and shit the seeds out that’s how the damn thing spreads like a virus.

My son and I destroy the damn shit whenever we see it, with the focus being in the winter since the bugs and stuff are dead lol don't need ticks trying to get rid of this stuff!

Yeah, I found that the winter is really best for that kind of activity. Here kudzu is a major problem but people just shrug if you mention it. That stuff can put on three feet a day in new growth and will fully cover acre after acre... year after year... if left unchecked.
