Anyway, how was your weekend this week? The weekend is the time and moment that the majority of the world's population have been waiting for. In general, human activities are always carried out from Monday to Friday, or Monday to Saturday and Sunday, which are national holidays that are celebrated by everyone. There are many ways for people to spend their time on the weekends. Going on vacation to the mountains or the beach, eating at restaurants or cafes, going to the mall or sleeping all day are some of the options you can choose to spend time on weekends.

In Medan City, the city where I live. People spend their weekends going to the Mall. Why is it like that ? going to the Mall is the easiest option in my city. At the Mall, people can enjoy a variety of entertainment such as shopping, cinema, live music, eating or just walking around. Therefore, when going to the mall on weekends, we have to be prepared for challenges such as finding a parking space or traffic jams on the way.

I'm not the type of person who likes to go out on a Saturday night. My wife and I don't work nine to five, we both have the time and freedom to determine our days off. Because of that, I minimize my movements on Saturday nights to avoid traffic jams and also the crowds of people in the Mall. However, sometimes in life I want to feel that crowd too. Moments of going to the mall on weekends, going around the parking area to get a parking spot, queuing when ordering food, various things that are hard to feel when we go to the mall on weekdays.

Finally, I invited my wife to hang out at Deli Park Plaza Medan, one of the newest and biggest malls in Medan City. What is my purpose here? nothing, i just want to feel the vibes from saturday night at the mall. I came to Deli Park Plaza Medan at 7 pm, the atmosphere of the mall was already very busy, you can see from the almost full car park. I circled the parking area twice, and finally I got a parking space after one car got out.

We circled around the mall for about 30 minutes, and walking around made us very hungry. I took my wife to go to the Food Court on Level 3A and look for something interesting to eat. I took my wife to go for fried chicken, I think weekend is the perfect time to enjoy fried chicken.

Our choice at that time fell on Shihlin Taiwan Street Food Snacks, one of the popular fried chicken snack franchises in Indonesia. Shihlin outlets are spread across almost all malls and several places in Medan City and Indonesia. Shihlin sells a variety of Taiwanese street food snacks, one of which is its flagship menu, XXL Crispy Chicken, which is the best-selling menu at this street food outlet.

We ordered a bundling food package menu, Double Snacks at this Food Outlet. This Double Snacks consists of two portions of XXL Crispy Chicken and two drinks for IDR 100 K. Shihlin Taiwan Street Food is a food & beverage business with a ready-to-cook concept, so every food we order will be cooked and processed immediately.

After getting our order, we also looked for an empty seat in this food court. The food court was very busy, so we both had to be patient in waiting and when we saw a customer leave the table, we quickly filled the empty table.

Next, we also enjoy our fried chicken. This XXL Crispy Chicken from Shihlin, is made using chicken fillet which is flattened into a wide shape, then breaded in flour and deep fried. After that, this dish will be sprinkled with spices and chilies that can be adjusted in level, and then the chicken meat will be cut using scissors into small pieces so that we can eat it easily.

We both enjoyed our Saturday night this time in a crowded public place, accompanied by fried chicken and cold water making this husband and wife conversation even more enjoyable. One strange thing, we met almost every day, often talked, sometimes argued and argued a little. However, when we eat fried chicken together, we really get along. Well, you know, who can resist fried chicken on a Saturday night?
