Today we will continue exploring the streets of Antalya with you. After spending our days at the hotel, we continued going out in the evenings and saw some truly interesting things.

While walking, I wanted to take a photo at sunset, but unfortunately, it didn't turn out as beautiful as I wanted. I don't like my appearance when I don't style my hair. But at least I'll stay away from hairspray during the summer months because I've read too much about its harmful effects. Anyway, let's enjoy the sunset. The ruins you see behind me belong to a historical monument.

There was a huge colosseum, and I was dying to explore it. I'm lucky I took this beautiful photo as I passed by because we couldn't visit the colosseum. It's under restoration, which is really unlucky for me. A few years ago, I went to a city to visit a bunch of museums, but everything was closed due to flooding.

What caught my attention most on the streets was the crowd. Despite the intense heat, people filled the streets. Most were probably tourists with very little time to explore, so they wanted to make the most of every second. Some had gotten so sunburned that their skin was bright red. I imagine they must be used to it; otherwise, they wouldn't be able to walk around.

The architecture of the buildings was beautiful; they looked aesthetic and as if they belonged to ancient times. They were probably newly built, but at least it's good that they were built with this in mind. They looked even more beautiful at sunset.

The shops also share the same architecture. So the entire street was built in the same style. But they were very expensive. A bottle of water should cost no more than 10 TL, but on the street it was sold for 1 dollar, which is 40 TL. Shopkeepers try to take advantage of tourists not knowing the prices. This is really sad. When people from abroad find out the real prices, they don't shop there again, and on top of that, it damages the image of Turkish merchants, just like taxi drivers. I understand that rents are higher in a tourist area, so prices are more expensive, and I can understand charging double the price, but quadruple? That's ridiculous.

There were many shops selling souvenirs around. Some of them were quite interesting. The items you see are called dream catchers. If you've never heard of them, according to a belief, dream catchers protect you from nightmares and help you have good dreams. I don't believe in that, so I didn't buy any :P

Later, we came to a place with an amazing view for dinner. My uncle had made a reservation for us here. I had shared a photo of this place before. It was in the Beer Saturday post.

There's nothing like watching the sunset by the pier. The sky slowly turning yellow, then red, and then the sun slowly disappearing. It's a breathtaking view. And of course, don't forget to watch all of this reflected in the sea.

You'll understand what I mean better in this photo. The top is dark blue, it turns yellow towards the bottom, and the bottom is reddish.

This view is beautiful, but what really made it beautiful was having my wife there with me. I am so happy every moment I am with her. Talking, enjoying the moment, watching the sunset, everything is more beautiful with her.

Bugün sizlerle Antalya sokaklarını keşfetmeye devam edeceğiz. Gündüzleri otelde geçirdikten sonra akşamları dışarı çıkmaya devam ettik ve gerçekten ilgi çekici şeyler gördük.

Yürürken gün batımında bir fotoğraf çekmek istedim maalesef istediğim kadar güzel çıkmamışım. Saçlarıma şekil vermediğim zaman tipimi beğenmiyorum. Ama en azından yaz aylarında saç spreyi kullanmaktan uzak duracağım çünkü zararlarına dair çok fazla şey okudum. Her neyse, günbatımının tadını çıkaralım. Arkamda gördüğünüz yıkıntılar bir tarihi esere ait.

Devasa bir kolezyum vardı ve orayı gezmek için can atıyordum. Önünden geçerken bu güzel fotoğrafı çektiğim için şanslıyım çünkü bu kolezyumu gezemedik. Restorasyon altındaymış, bu konuda çok şanssızım, geçtiğimiz yıllarda bir sürü müze gezmek için bir şehre gitmiştim ve sel dolayısıyla her yer kapalıydı.

Caddelerde en çok dikkatimi çeken şey kalabalıktı. Hava çok sıcak olmasına rağmen insanlar sokakları doldurmuştu, muhtemelen çoğu turist ve buraları gezmek için çok az zamanları var bu yüzden her saniyeyi değerlendirmek istiyorlar. Bazılarının teni o kadar güneşten yanmıştı ki kıpkırmızı olmuşlardı. Buna alışkın olmalılar aksi takdirde dolaşamazlar diye düşünüyorum.

Binaların mimarisi çok güzeldi, estetik görünüyorlar ve sanki eski çağlara aitler. Muhtemelen yeni inşa edilmişler ama en azından bunu düşünerek inşa edilmiş olmaları iyi. Günbatımıyla birlikte daha da güzel görünüyorlar.

Dükkanlar da aynı mimariye sahipler. Yani tüm cadde aynı şekilde inşa edilmiş. Ama çok pahalılardı. Bir şişe su en fazla 10 TL olmalı ama caddede 1 dolara satılıyordu, yani 40 TL. Esnaflar turistlerin fiyatları bilmemesinden faydalanmaya çalışıyor. Bu gerçekten üzücü, yurtdışından gelen insanlar gerçek fiyatları öğrenince bir daha o esnaflardan alışveriş yapmıyorlar üstüne üstlük Türkiye'deki esnaflığın imajı zedeleniyor, tıpkı taksiciler gibi. Turistik bir bölgede olduğumuz için kiraların daha fazla olduğunu bu yüzden de fiyatların daha pahalı olmasını anlıyorum, 2 katı fiyat uygulamasını anlayabilirim ama 4 katı? Bu çok saçma.

Etrafta çok fazla hediyelik eşya satan dükkan vardı. Aralarında böyle ilgi çekici olanlar da vardı. Gördüğünüz şeylere rüya kapanı deniyor. Bunları hiç duymadıysanız bir inanışa göre rüya kapanları sizi kabuslardan koruyor ve güzel rüyalar görmenizi sağlıyorlar. Ben buna inanmıyorum bu yüzden onlardan almadım :P

Daha sonra manzarası harika olan bir yerde akşam yemeği yemeye geldik. Dayım buranın rezervasyonunu bizim için yapmıştı. Buranın bir fotoğrafını daha önce de paylaşmıştım. Beer Saturday gönderisiydi.

İskele kenarında günbatımını izlemek gibisi yok. Havanın önce yavaş yavaş sararması ve sonra kızıllışması ve sonra güneşin yavaş yavaş ortadan kaybolması. Hayran olunası bir manzara. Bütün bunların hepsinin denize yansımasını izlemeyi de unutmamak lazım tabii.

Bu fotoğrafta ne demek istediğimi daha iyi anlayacaksınız. En üst koyu mavi, alta doğru sararıyor ve en alt kızıllaşmış.

Bu manzara çok güzel ama manzarayı asıl güzel yapan şey orada eşimin yanında olmasıydı. Onunla olduğum her an çok mutluyum. Sohbet etmek, anın tadını çıkarmak, günbatımını izlemek, onunla her şey daha güzel.
