Hello to all of you! Last week I went sightseeing after a long time. My girlfriend and I had planned a perfect day together, but unfortunately not everything turned out the way we wanted. Still, it's okay because every day with my girlfriend is perfect. So I will share with you how my whole day went. Without further ado, let's move on to our trip.

We woke up early in the morning, had a light snack and left the house because there were many places we wanted to visit and we had a long way to go. We love elevator photos 🤳.


The weather was really nice. It was neither hot nor cold, the clouds scared me that it was going to rain but luckily it didn't.


I had a chat with the owner of the minibus we were going to travel in and I got the right to sit in the front seat, so I could take a lot of landscape photos on the way. I took this photo on the way. The car window was not very clean, so what you see in the photo is not the fault of my camera haha. Still, the combination of the blue of the sky and the green of the earth looks beautiful.


After a 1.5 hour journey, we finally made it to Şanlıurfa. The journey was quite calm for us and we spent time watching the surroundings. You can see Şanlıurfa from afar in the photo.


We got out of the minibus near a shopping center because we wanted to buy something there. You must have heard about the flood disaster in our country. After the earthquake there were floods in Şanlıurfa and this shopping center was also affected by the floods. So it was closed. This is the part I took and I can't even imagine how terrible the parking lot was.


One of the places we wanted to visit was Şanlıurfa Archaeology and Mosaic Museum. This museum is the biggest museum in Turkey and I was very curious to see what it was like inside. After visiting the archeology museum in Adana, my interest in museums increased even more. Unfortunately, we cannot visit this museum because of the floods. I hope there was no damage to historical artifacts. source


Afterwards, we set off to visit Kızılkoyun Necropolis. There was a necropolis a little further down this road.

Unfortunately, the necropolis was also closed to visitors because of the floods. I asked the attendant when it would be possible to visit, but I couldn't get any information about it. Nevertheless, I took photos for you from a distance. I was very curious about the inside. According to what I read on the information sign and saw on the internet, there are more than 100 graves here. These tombs belong to the Roman-Byzantine period. We walked all this way but we didn't really visit anything. We decided to rest a bit in the park. I actually took a few photos like this but the others didn't turn out very well. My friend @phortun, this is the park photo I told you about. I can remove the tag if it bothers you man 👌.


While we were sitting in the park I saw the museum next door and I thought we could at least visit there but of course we weren't that lucky. It was also affected by the flood and they were cleaning the inside.


Next to this museum we saw this house from the 19th century in Şanlıurfa. It was quite interesting but unfortunately we couldn't go inside this one either. I liked its architecture very much. Maybe it might interest you too my friend @storiesoferne.


Just because I can't go inside doesn't mean I can't take a photo next to it. It was taken from a bit far away, but that's okay. I look at all of these photos as memories and all of these memories are kept in Hive. Isn't it perfect?


Nearby we found another Roman building. This one may not look that impressive, but let's take a closer look.

It amazes me how elaborate and elaborate even the door knockers were back then. The details on them are really impressive.


We continued to walk around the city and I saw a hotel like this, Hotel el-Ruha. It really looks like a historical monument. I don't know if it is really old or if it has been given an old look, but I would like to stay here. There is a pool and a sauna inside. It would probably cost a lot of money but it would be worth it.


Balıklıgöl is a must for a trip to Şanlıurfa. I didn't expect it to be so crowded but I guess everyone thinks like us. I had already shared a detailed Balıklıgöl post with you before. This time I just came to see how it was affected by the flood.


I don't know whether it was affected by the earthquake or the flood, but there is a restoration work on one of the minarets. Honestly, I thought a lot about what happened here after the earthquake. It's great that it survived with little damage.


I had read a lot of news about the fish dying after the earthquake and it made me very sad. I don't know if they were brought back later or if it was fake news, but here they are where they belong, Balıklıgöl.


We also walked around the bazaar next door. I wanted to buy some affordable souvenirs. My family loves such things.

One of the places we wanted to visit in Şanlıurfa was the kitchen museum. We had to pass through narrow streets on our way here. I wanted to have a photo here too.

This is the entrance to the kitchen museum. And why can't we enter? Because this place was closed because it was damaged in the earthquake. I hope all these places will be opened as soon as the traces of the earthquake and floods are erased. Apart from the damage it caused to people, many of the historical artifacts in Turkey were also damaged. I hope nowhere else in the world will experience such a disaster.


All this walking made us hungry and we decided to have dinner. Many restaurants were closed because they were affected by the earthquake or flood. We found a Burger King open because we missed eating hamburgers. I like eating hamburgers here, even though they are not as good as homemade hamburgers.


I feel happy and relaxed after eating it, and I am sure I am not the only one who feels that way after eating it. I don't know what I was thinking when my girlfriend took this photo 😅.


After dinner we decided to have coffee. It has become really expensive to go out for coffee. It was almost the same price as the hamburger menu we had just had. 2 cups of coffee cost 125 TL (6,43 USD). It may not seem expensive in dollars, but it is in Turkish currency.


We had a great view while drinking coffee. We watched this historical mosque. I would have loved to visit this place but I was too tired. Maybe next time.


As we were slowly sipping our coffees, I saw the ants nearby. Someone had poured sugar next to them for them to eat, but there was something he didn't know. Ants don't like sugar like that. My girlfriend didn't know this information either. I told her that if I put a few drops of coffee on the sugar, all the ants would come there, but she didn't believe me. So I did, and indeed in a few minutes 50 ants gathered there. I took this photo before they all arrived, I tried to get as close as I could but my poor iPhone 6 camera can only take a clear shot from this close 😂.


After that we went to some clothes stores and bought a trousers and a t-shirt but I forgot to take a photo of them. Maybe I will share them with you another time. We got into the minibus and set off. I tried to take a photo on the way back but I was so tired that I didn't even realize that the photo was blurry.

Hepinize merhaba! Geçen hafta uzun zaman sonra bir yerleri gezmeye gittim. Kız arkadaşımla birlikte mükemmel bir gün planlamıştık ama her şey istediğimiz gibi olmadı maalesef. Yine de kız arkadaşımla geçirdiğim her gün mükemmel olduğu için problem yok. Ben de bütün bir günümün nasıl geçtiğini sizinle paylaşacağım. Lafı fazla uzatmadan gezimize geçelim.

Sabah erkenden uyandık ve hafif bir şeyler atıştırıp evden çıktık çünkü gezmek istediğimiz çok yer vardı ve yolumuz da uzundu. Asansör fotoğraflarını seviyoruz 🤳.


Hava gerçekten güzeldi. Ne sıcaktı ne soğuktu, bulutlar beni yağmur yağacakmış gibi korkutsa da neyse ki yağmadı.


Yola çıkacağımız minibüsün sahibiyle biraz sohbet ettim ve ön koltukta oturma hakkı kazandım. Bu sayede yolda giderken bir sürü manzara fotoğrafı çekebilirdim. Bu fotoğrafı da yolda çektim. Arabanın camı pek de temiz değildi yani fotoğrafta gördüğünüz şeyler benim kameramın suçu değil haha. Yine de gökyüzünün maviliği ve yeryüzünün yeşilliğinin birleşmesi güzel görünüyor.


1.5 saatlik bir yolculuğun arkasından sonunda Şanlıurfa'ya gelebildik. Yolculuk bizim için oldukça sakin geçti ve etrafı izleyerek zaman geçirdik. Fotoğrafta Şanlıurfa'yı uzaktan görebilirsiniz.


Minibüsten bir alışveriş merkezine yakın bir yerde indik çünkü oradan bir şeyler almak istiyorduk. Ülkemizde olan sel felaketini duymuş olmalısınız. Depremden sonra Şanlıurfa'da sel de oldu ve bu alışveriş merkezi de selden çok etkilenmiş. Bu yüzden kapalıydı. Burası benim çektiğim kısım ve otoparkın ne kadar berbat bir halde olduğunu düşünemiyorum bile.


Gezmek istediğimiz yerlerden biri de Şanlıurfa Arkeoloji ve Mozaik Müzesiydi. Bu müze Türkiye'nin en büyük müzesi ve içerisinin nasıl olduğunu çok merak ediyordum. Adana'daki arkeoloji müzesini ziyaret ettikten sonra müzelere karşı ilgim daha da arttı. Maalesef burayı da sel yüzünden gezemiyoruz. Umarım tarihi eserlere herhangi bir zarar gelmemiştir. source


Sonrasında Kızılkoyun Nekropolü'nü ziyaret etmek için harekete geçtik. Bu yolun biraz ilerisinde de nekropol vardı.

Ne yazık ki nekropol de sel yüzünden ziyarete kapalıydı. Görevliye ne zaman ziyaret edilebileceğini sordum ama bu konuda bir bilgi alamadım. Yine de sizin için uzaktan fotoğraflar çektim. İçeriyi çok merak ediyordum. Bilgilendirme tabelasından okuduğum ve internetten gördüğüm kadarıyla burada 100'den fazla mezar var. Bu mezarlar Roma-Bizans dönemine ait. Bu ve fazlasını bu kaynaktan okuyabilirsiniz.


Bu kadar yürüdük ama hiçbir yeri tam anlamıyla ziyaret edemedik. Parkta biraz dinlenmeye karar verdik. Aslında bu tarz birkaç tane fotoğraf çektim ama diğerleri pek güzel çıkmamış. @phortun dostum sana bahsettiğim park fotoğrafı buydu. Etiket rahatsız ettiyse kaldırabilirim 👌.


Parkta otururken yan taraftaki müzeyi gördüm ve en azından orayı ziyaret edebileceğimizi düşündüm ama tabi ki o kadar da şanslı değildik. Orası da selden etkilenmiş ve içeriyi temizliyorlardı.


Bu müzenin yanında Şanlıurfa'da 19. yüzyıldan kalma bu evi gördük. Oldukça ilgi çekiciydi ama maalesef bunun da içine giremedik. Mimarisi benim aşırı hoşuma gitti. Belki senin de ilgini çekebilir dostum @storiesoferne.


İçine giremeyeceğim yanında bir fotoğrafım olmayacağı anlamına gelmiyor. Biraz uzaktan çekilmiş ama olsun. Ben bu fotoğrafların hepsine hatıra gözüyle bakıyorum ve Hive'da bu hatıralarımın hepsi saklanıyor. Mükemmel değil mi?


Yakında da yine Roma dönemine ait bir bina bulduk. Bu binanın kendisi o kadar etkileyici görünmüyor olabilir ama bir de yakından bakalım.

O dönemde kapı tokmaklarının bile bu şekilde özenli ve gösterişli olması beni şaşırtıyor. Üzerindeki detaylar gerçekten etkileyici.


Şehri gezmeye devam ettik ve böyle bir otel gördüm. Adı Hotel el-Ruha. Gerçekten bir tarihi eser gibi görünüyor. Gerçekten çok eski mi yoksa eski görünüm mü verilmiş bilmiyorum ama burada kalmak isterdim. İçeride havuz, sauna da var. Muhtemelen çok pahalıya mal olurdu ama buna değerdi.


Şanlıurfa gezisinin olmazsa olmazı Balıklıgöl. Bu kadar kalabalık olmasını beklemiyordum ama sanırım herkes bizim gibi düşünüyor. Zaten daha önce sizinle ayrıntılı bir Balıklıgöl postu paylaşmıştım. Bu sefer sadece selden nasıl etkilendiğini görmek için geldim.


Depremden mi yoksa selden mi etkilendi bilmiyorum ama minarelerden bir tanesinde restorasyon çalışması var. Açıkçası depremden sonra buraya neler olduğunu çok düşünmüştüm. Ufak bir hasarla atlatmış olması harika.


Depremden sonra balıkların öldüğüne dair birçok haber okumuştum ve bu beni çok üzmüştü. Daha sonra tekrar mı getirildiler yoksa bu bir yalan haber miydi bilmiyorum ama işte balıklar ait olduğu yerde, Balıklıgöl.


Yan taraftaki çarşıyı da dolaştık. Uygun fiyatlı hediyelik eşyalar almak istiyordum. Ailem böyle şeylere bayılıyor.

Şanlıurfa'da gezmek istediğimiz yerlerden birisi de mutfak müzesiydi. Buraya giderken dar sokaklardan geçmemiz gerekiyordu. Burada da bir fotoğrafım olsun istedim.

İşte mutfak müzesinin girişi burası. Peki niye giremiyoruz? Çünkü burası da depremde zarar gördüğü için kapatılmış. Umarım bütün bu yerler deprem ve selin izleri silinip en kısa sürede açılır. İnsanlara verdiği zarar bir yana Türkiye'deki tarihi eserlerin de birçoğu zarar gördü. Umarım dünyada hiçbir yer böyle bir felaketi yaşamaz.


Bu kadar gezmek bizi acıktırdı ve yemek yemeye karar verdik. Birçok restoran da deprem ya da selden etkilendiği için kapalıydı. Açık bir Burger King bulduk çünkü hamburger yemeyi özledik. Ev yapımı hamburger kadar güzel olmasa da burada hamburger yemeyi seviyorum.


Yemeği yedikten sonra kendimi mutlu ve rahatlamış hissediyorum. Eminim yemeği yedikten sonra böyle hisseden tek kişi ben değilimdir. Kız arkadaşım bu fotoğrafı çektiğinde ne düşünüyordum bilmiyorum 😅.


Yemekten sonra kahve içmeye karar verdik. Dışarıda kahve içmek gerçekten çok pahalı hale gelmiş. Neredeyse az önceki hamburger menüsüyle aynı fiyattaydı. 2 bardak kahve 125 TL(6,43 Dolar) tuttu. Dolar cinsinden çok pahalı gelmiyor olabilir ama Türk parası cinsinden öyle.


Kahve içerken manzaramız harikaydı. Bu tarihi camiyi seyrettik. Burayı ziyaret etmeyi çok isterdim ama çok yorulmuştum. Belki bir sonraki sefere.


Yavaş yavaş kahvelerimizi yudumlarken yan taraftaki karıncaları gördüm. Biri onlar yesin diye yanlarına şeker dökmüş ama bilmediği bir şey vardı. Karıncalar şekeri bu şekilde sevmez. Kız arkadaşım da bu bilgiyi bilmiyordu. Ona şekerin üzerine birkaç damla kahve damlatırsam bütün karıncaların oraya geleceğini söyledim ama o inanmadı. Sonra ben de damlattım ve gerçekten birkaç dakika içinde oraya 50 tane karınca toplandı. Ben bu fotoğrafı onların hepsi gelmeden çekmiştim. Olabildiğince yakından çekmeye çalıştım ama zavallı iPhone 6'mın kamerası anca bu kadar yakından net bir çekim yapabiliyor 😂.


Daha sonra birkaç kıyafet mağazası dolaştık ve bir pantolon ve tshirt aldık ama onların fotoğrafını çekmeyi unuttum. Belki onları başka zaman sizinle paylaşırım. Minibüse bindik ve yola çıktık. Dönüş yolunda da bir fotoğraf çekmeye çalıştım ama yorgun olduğum için fotoğrafın bulanık çıktığını bile fark etmemişim 🤦‍♂️.
