I am sorry to know about your father. I can feel your pain as I also went through the same situation two yeer ago when my father left us during the pendamic.
Now come back to the topic, you say right every parent want that their kids should be settled in better place, even they miss them a lot but never express their feeling.
And one more thing I want to add is when people started their journey in abroad they may not planned to stay their for long but after some time they get adopted to the new culture and that make big difference in their lives and they never want to be back to their native place.
I too feel sorry for your neighbor.

I belive a foreign place can never be yours. No doubts many Indian prefer a abroad life, but there are many who came back after realizing what they were missing.
Also it is strange how kids get carried away so easily with differrnt culture and lifestyle leaving away everything so easily where they born and bought up. At least our culture never been so rough...
